For those of you who are wondering about Sassy and her expected puppies. She's ready to present her beautiful babies to the world. X-rays show she has 3. Her due date is this upcoming Saturday. Her temperature is dropping so the vet thinks they may come a bit early. The daddy is pacing the floor. Sassy just wants to be held and her tummy rubbed. The babies are super active. I am certainly on edge. Let's all pray everything goes smooth and mom and babies all have a smooth presentation.

Chiquita finally had her baby yesterday evening. It's a boy! What a beautiful little fella he is. Mom and baby are doing great. She's a bit upset because I won't let her move him to our bed where she sleeps with us. She has to stay with her baby, of course.
He will be going to live with his brother from a previous litter when he is 8 weeks old. He's barely over 24 hours old and he was already spoken for.
Our babies are healthy and well cared for from the beginning. Right down to the parents. Socialized very early in their new lives.
We're expecting a litter from a different pair in two weeks.

Chiquita had radiographs today. One puppy. He/she will need some extra spoiling.

I put together a little dog yard for the Chihuahuas. I like to sit out with them in the mornings and enjoy my coffee while they do their potties. The lamp helps keep them safe when they go out at night. It will also serve as a relaxing place when a potential new family wants to look at one of our puppies looking for a new home.
