Exciting news:

We have acquired a second female to add to our breeding program that will arrive later this month! Our program will remain small at two litters a year with this addition but we do not yet know time frames for her cycles. It has always been our plan to add another dog with genetic diversity in mind, and we have our wonderful clients to thank for making this a reality so soon.

Stay tuned for her arrival! In the meantime, you can just look at her 😍

Scheduling puppy pickups is a hard process. We’ve watched these pups grow for the last 7 weeks, and it always lingers in my mind, “what if we keep just one more?”

And then I’m reminded of what these dogs were made for and the homes they’re going to and it all seems just fine. So, today they get their vet certifications for health and will start their lives with their new owners. One-by-one the kennel will empty, and we will put it all away for next time.

Here’s a feel-good story for your Sunday.

Yesterday morning, we ran across this post and immediately recognized one of our pups had been found in the woods. Because he had no collar and no chip, this gentleman was unable to find the owner - so we reached out and loaded up for a two-hour drive so our pup wouldn’t be taken to the shelter.

Meanwhile, we started calling an owner we knew lived about 10 miles away from the area. Once we confirmed the owner got in contact with his dog, we headed home and let sleeping dogs lie.

This won’t always be the case for our dogs, especially those that live across the country. We encourage all owners to chip their Jagds, or keep tracking collars on when out hunting - especially during their rebellious phase of 7-12 months old.

What sets us apart from other breeders? This story. We will help find, locate, return, and rehome if necessary to keep them out of shelters. We will do whatever it takes to help our owners be successful with their dogs.

The selection process begins today. Those on our list for this litter will be contacted individually to help you select the best puppy for your needs in order of deposit date.

Each of them now has clear physical characteristics showing such as coat type, length, and body build. These traits will amplify as they develop over the next year or so.
