Thanks to ace dog trainer Lezle Stein for her guidance in new-dog selection and puppy training. I’m a dog-adopting veteran but this time wanted an assist in assessing temperament. Lezle helped me navigate the utterly overwhelming NKLA adoption fair, advising on breeds and behavior, preventing me from making an impulsive and wrong choice. Now that we have our new girl (okay, an impulsive but right choice, from the same rescuers who brought us our dear departed Keely), Lezle is helping me crate train and work through the usual puppy issues. Yeah, the Internet’s full of pet advice but there’s nothing like having an actual human answer your specific questions.
