Thanksgiving trip to see son from Honey’s first litter. The carmel/blonde on the right in front was Matthew, renamed Parker. Mother Honey is the blonde tucked under my arm. Matthew was the tiniest of the boys and loved to dance. He still does and although not much of a cuddler according to his human parents , he certainly cuddled for a long time with me and is so much like his Mom, loves plush toys and naps.

Today Mom has been focusing on Skittles and teaching her some manners. Each puppy has been picked out for quality time with Mom. Not sure what she tells them but they are all excellent pups so it must be good advice.

First one left with his forever family - bye Parker (Matthew).

Our bags are packed, we’re ready to go - there’s a song in there somewhere. Puppies are counting the days until they can go to their forever homes. See you all soon. Melinda sent or is sending out letter with final instructions on food, packet of wormer I’ve attached to their bags and asking you to call her with any questions. For pickup you can text me with ETA when you’re on your way for pickups at my house. They have enjoyed playing in my garden so I will be brushing and bathing before you come for them. To see them now you can tell they’ve been having fun. This is a very special litter and I’ve loved being their first Grandma, getting ready to launch them into the rest of their lives. I’ve told each of them the same thing I’ll tell you about them and I truly mean it - you are my very favorite puppy!

Mark sure hoping his new home has one of these fancy dog water coolers. He sure spends a lot of time hanging around the water cooler. Good thing he doesn’t have a “day job”.

This is sweet Belle - there’s something very satisfying about a nice squeak toy. The puppies had been playing with their mother’s bigger squeak toy today and when she saw them she quickly rescued it and jumped over the fence with it. Must run in the family.

A couple neighbor kids came to visit and cuddle. Their Australian Labradoodle is now 10 months old and no longer “lapable”. Tate, Bailey and Belle (I think)

Tate (John). Trying his hand at gardening, or at least that’s his story.

Brisk morning and time to play after our breakfast (it is before 8am so don’t plan on sleeping in late just yet). They just figured out what to do with the balls and Belle shows the makings of a soccer stall as she controls the ball all the way down the lawn.

Don’t mess with me! The girls don’t mind playing but even though the boys are bigger they don’t tolerate rough housing. Jasmine telling Mark to cool it.

More cuteness. That’s actually Ariel in the beginning. They move so fast it’s hard to get them named right as they whiz around.

Who’s first to try out the grooming table? Pick me, pick me! The girls were much more chill on the table but boys got used to it too. Then out in front to play before it got too cool and we had to snuggle in Grandma’s lap to stay warm until time to come in for bed.

Another day of learning and growing. Today before nap we’re going to learn about the grooming table and getting brushed. We think brushes might be something to chew - it’s so exciting.

And the whole gang playing before nap time. Recommend making a list of things you want puppies to get used to in first two weeks when you get them home. Don’t need too many repeat exposures but one or two quality ones (treats and gentle hands do wonders) to things they’ll be exposed to in life with you - bearded men, livestock, boats, shopping baskets if you’re a shopper, kids, wheelchairs, etc. I’m working on a lot of the basics but each lifestyle is different so make a list you can use to check off.
