Good Afternoon Montevideo,

Hi everyone! I apologize for the long drought of information regarding the park but I have some news that you have probably been waiting for.
First, lets answer some questions:

Q. Is this project still going on?
A. Yes, I have been working hard to bring this idea to life!

Q. Have we reached the funding goal?
A. We have officially raised enough to complete the basic structures, such as fencing and waste receptacles, however we are still accepting donations to expand features and maintain the park.

Q. When will the project be finished?
A. Early to late September

Now for the BIG news, IT IS FINALLY BUILDING TIME!!! Over the next week I will be posting a sign up sheet with dates and times that we will need volunteers to help us put together the park. Tasks we need help with include installing the fencing, planting trees, placing benches, and installing waste bag dispensers.
Anyone who is willing to help is welcome. Snacks and water will be available for all volunteers.

I can't wait to share this park with all of you and your furry friends!

Good Evening everyone, I have been a little behind on keeping you up to date with news and other things involving our park.

We have surpassed our half way mark for donations and recently hit another huge milestone, and all from our community members and businesses.
If you or your company are interested in helping sponsor this project please feel free to reach out to me and I can explain more about our future park and how you may be able to help.

We also have some advertisement opportunities available, like signs, benches, and more. Please contact me for more details and price ranges.

Good afternoon everyone I have compiled some information regarding our new park for anyone interested:

Location:
The park is located north of town right next to the public works building. This keeps the park out of range of any noise complaints and makes water access more of a possibility.

The Design:
The park will require around 800-850 ft of fencing and be a triangular shape as shown in the image. It will have a fence line splitting the park in to two separate areas, one for big dogs and one for smaller dogs. ( There will be a sign at the entrance that specifies where your dog would best fit.)

Cost:
When planning this park there was so many great ideas that were considered for the final project. But with most things, it all costs money. Once totaled out and priorities were put first the city came up with a total around 17,000-18,000 dollars
This total is the reason that every donation is greatly appreciated and very much helpful in the journey to completing our goal.

Timeline:
Donations- Beginning of Fall 2023 to minimum goal

Purchase Materials- Beginning of Spring 2024

Start Construction- Once ground thaws and all materials are purchased

Finish Construction- End of Summer 2024

Our first Public event!!
Come by Talking Waters on Main Street, Wednesday November 15th to help us raise funds and learn more about our park.

I will be present from 3-6 for a Q&A and to show off all the hard work that has gone into this project. Every pint sold earns us a dollar to spend on amenities and fences for our furry friends. Let me know if you have any more questions. I cant wait to see you all there and to talk more about Montevideo's new park!

Hello everyone! Welcome! My name is Jaxon Wagner (aka Mr. Dog Park) I am a Junior at Montevideo High School and a Boy Scout with Troop 259.

I am so excited to finally announce a project that has been in the works for the past year, Montevideo’s first dog park!! This project is very meaningful to me and will not only be a huge benefit to our community but it will also help me achieve my goal of becoming an Eagle Scout.

In the coming weeks I will be posting information regarding ways you can donate to the project or by volunteering to help construct it. I will also be hosting a few fundraisers and other events you could attend to help show your support.

I can’t wait to get started on Montevideo’s first ever dog park!!
