1st mark 165 yds ran as a single
Marks 2 & 3 were 15yd & 25yd with lots of geese decoys involved

Blind 1 120yds was lots of casting & scalloping due to me allowing a poor initial line. But I wanted to work on this for if/when it happens in hunt

Blind 2 the initial line was perfect therefore he lined the 170yd blind
I am sooo very proud of this dogs progress

You can train a dog all summer long. Get that young pup to running big blinds and marking excellent. You can blow your duck calls, setup decoys, shoot multiple times for marks and make everything look as real as possible but no matter what when ya get in the field and start doing the real thing your well trained pup can appear to be dumb as rocks to the whole situation. That's normal for most dogs. This is the time that it's best for the handler to just hang his gun and calls up, pay more attention to their pup and ya watch everything. I like to let my new to hunting pup watch a few birds being shot or work the decoys for a few hunts. Let em' figure out that hey these feathered critters don't just fly in arcs and fall to every shot.

Guy/Gals your dogs have all the tools they need to be successful for a lifetime. Just be patient with them till they figure out how to use them

Decided to take morning off & go sit with my friend Billy Graves. Nice lil 2 man limit. Dog work was BADAZZ too. Lil gyp Rose 1st hunt. She was almost flawless. I’m well pleased

Did a walk up today with a inline double. Took it easy & taught it to all of them today.
Shot the walk up on right. Let them retrieve it. Then shot long bird to show where was. Let them retrieve it. Then shot long bird again with left bird (inline double). By teaching it this way; no one broke down in scent from short bird.
Later this week or early next week we will do it as a walk up triple

Now as far as blind. I didn’t put it in setup on purpose. We just put a few cones out and did a lil refresher T work with everyone that could

When I do this again as a setup I will put blind in far right corner of field. Will be 120yds ish
