I know it has been a long time but I wanted to share some current pictures of Banjo. He is thriving! His new family loves him and takes great care of him. I am so proud of this family and this dog.

Today it is official!! Belle is in her new forever home with another dog and a bunch of humans to love and be loved!!

Banjo has spent a considerable amount of time with his cousin dogs over the past month while his mom and dad went on their honeymoon and visited family out of state. He is a protector, friend, playmate and has a sweet soul! None of us humans could help but to fall in love with him!

Hello friends!! It has been forever since we posted an update on this amazing duo!!

Thanks to a herd of amazing humans, BOTH Banjo and Belle have been ADOPTED!! They are both here in Texas with their new families.

Banjo was adopted by the original couple that fostered them together from the start. Belle was adopted by her 2nd foster while waiting for her ride up north!! They fell in love with her and decided she needed to stay with them!

Thank you to all that prayed, cried, lost sleep and loved on these babies!!

So sorry for the long time in between posts. Lots of stuff going on in the human lives that are caring for these sweet babies.

Bluebell heads to NY in about a week. The sister rescue there is processing applications.

Banjo is learning to be a great family member. His foster parents got married and mom had surgery. He is staying with his cousin dogs back in Bentwater for the month of August.
We are having a blast watching him learn and play and thrive. He is a sweet boy!

Crate 0 -Banjo 2: banjo may be crate trained but he is not having any part of a crate the past couple of days. Good thing he has the best foster parents ever because they can monitor from anywhere and have a bunch of helpers that can intervene almost immediately 🙂.

I (Tami) just got to spend the evening with the famous Banjo! He is the happiest pup! He comes when called, he stayed right by his mom while we ate, he plays well with his sister and is very kind to her (respectful of her space).

He is a toy hoarder! He is still skiddish but brushes against you and allows you to touch him on his terms. His mom and dad can touch him no problem though. He showed off his new home and all of his toys.

I am so grateful that cypress lucky mutts was able to tag both these babies and send them to training. It would not have been possible without a bunch of people that didn’t know one another working together as a team, with these pups best interest in mind!!

Friends were made, dogs were rescued and Kailey has a brother! Now we have to get Belle a long term foster or adopted so that this story can be complete!!

Today was a good day 😉 Banjo trained well 😉 Let’s all pray for Belle…she will now have time to learn independence to let her live her best life !

Today was a mixed emotion day. The reason the duo is at training is to learn independence. Banjo was a champ but Belle was deemed a flight risk if they were to be separated. The decision was made today that Belle would stay in training for an additional 30 days. She is safe there and knows mark now. Hopefully over the next 30 days she will adapt to not having banjo and will learn to be independent and be able to be adopted to her forever home.

Banjo is back with his foster family and Kailey (4 legged daughter).

IF belle is able to adjust, she will be adopted locally or be sent to upstate New York. Banjo will be adopted by his foster parents. If NOT, then the 2 will be sent together to upstate New York as a bonded pair. The journey continues…

Mark (trainer) committed to sending pics and videos of Belle to help generate interest in adoption.

Foster parents will post pics regularly of Banjo and Kailey 😉

1 more day and we will have pictures again of the famous duo with their foster parents and 4 legged sister Kailey. Please Please pray that Kailey and Belle get along so that they can all stay together until they are adopted or transported up north.

Great news!! Belle and Banjo are doing great. No videos have been posted because there is no internet service at the training facility if there are clouds in the sky. It is still raining there daily!

The report from Mark is that Banjo is very independent and comes when called. He is no longer a flight risk. Belle on the other hand is very bonded to Banjo and the fear is that if they were separated she would flea to find him.

That being said, the recommendation is to find them a home where they can stay together.

The foster parents will accept them back as a pair (as long as their female dog approves) until they can be adopted or transported up north where the climate would be most appropriate for their heavy coats.

If you or someone you know is willing and able to adopt the pair please contact cypress lucky mutts to complete the process. If you are interested in being a backup foster parent to the pair, if that becomes necessary, please contact CLM to fill out the necessary paperwork.

Just a quick update on this amazing duo: they are fully funded thanks to so many amazing donations received at Cypress lucky mutt rescue! Thanks to all of you that donated.

Their trainer has provided updates to CLMR. They are doing great! Anytime there is a YouTube video posted we will share it here.

Foster parents are getting married next weekend and are eagerly awaiting Belle and Banjos return. The trainer had to rename Bella to Belle because there are so many Bella’s at the facility. He wants her to know her name!

Sunday may 16 update: yesterday was a big day. The dual arrived at the training facility. They did great on the ride there and a YouTube video will be uploaded to show their morning here shortly. Actually many videos will be posted today that were taken over the last 24 hours. Stay tuned ;)

Learning home life 5/14/21: absolutely amazing what just 48 hours can do. Both slept much better last night. Tomorrow they are off to training. Foster mom is already sad to see them go but can’t wait for the progress reports !!

Vet appt update 5/13/21: Bella and banjo visited a vet today. Bella was given a clean bill of health. Banjo has several bumps and bruises but all will heal just fine. Banjo does have a skin infection that will heal with a 10 day course of antibiotics. He had to be shaved to get a good look at his skin. In addition to antibiotics the doctor instructed to feed him lots of food because he needs it 😉. Otherwise all is well!

5/13/21: Character update: Bella is a cuddler who loves soft surfaces like beds and couches. Banjo is a very anxious boy who struggles to relax. He was up most of the night keeping guard and cannot stay in my office for longer than 3 minutes before he gets up to wander the house. He is also a chewer. (Copied and pasted from foster parent)

I just can’t stop posting!! This is such an amazing turn of events!! Thank you to everyone that was involved in feeding, following and eventually getting these guys into the shelter to be rescued.
