I got the most devastating news tonight, my heart just broke when Kelsey texted me. My sweet customer Rory was hit on the road by his families home tonight. My heart is breaking for them, I have been grooming their 3 pups for a long time, Leo, Rory and Molly are the best and I love them and their family. I am going to miss my Rory so much. Losing your fur babies in any way is hard enough but to lose them in a traumatic way, I can’t even imagine. Hugs to you all, especially little Hallie as I know she loved Rory as much as Rory loved her. May you chase all the squirrels and kitties plus dig up as many gross things as you can find over that rainbow 🌈 bridge Rory, you were so loved and will be missed. Kelsey sent me this little montage she put together in honor of their little Rory for me to share with you all. (The video quality got lost a little the way we shared it with each other I think)
Fun Fact: I learned the hard way when I first started grooming that too much warm water on dogs (especially dogs 7 and older) and also more likely with large breeds, can make them so relaxed that they collapse or straight up fall over, happened to me when I was 20 and I thought the dog died while I was bathing it!!! 😳 So as they get older it is a balancing act to keep them comfortable and not use too cold of water to keep the muscles awake but also not too warm to make the muscles go to sleep! My Miss Maggie is almost 14 and she gets super sleepy and wants to lay down if the water is too warm, I was laughing and wanted to catch her moaning and really that’s all I can describe it as, moaning and groaning with eyes closed and a little sway to her body as she enjoyed her spa day and maybe got a little too relaxed! I may of had to make the water a little cooler after this video. 🥰🩷 this lab is the best!
One of the most satisfying things about grooming a “shedding” breed, the blow outs! My sweet Miss Bailey comes every 8 weeks so this is not a long build up of hair! I think scientists should really take a look at what makes dog hair growth so fast, because with how much hair I get out of dogs like Bailey they really should be bald! Maybe they could solve thinning hair and unwanted baldness! Will post in comments the video I took of the after effect of her hair! Love this sweet soul! ❤️
Throwback to a time lapse video of grooming Charlie! Goodness I miss my pups! 🥹
So as I sit here on what has become my little quarantine chair 😂 in between healing naps, today I started the process of reaching out to my customers about upcoming appointments! Just finished an entire week, will tackle another week or two tomorrow! I knew my customers would be awesome but you are all definitely exceeding even my high expectations! I love my fur babies and their pawrents! ❤️ If you see these messages and have any more questions please feel free to text me at 507-364-7606, I will get back to you as quickly as I can!
Miss Bailey is having all the feels this morning! Love this girl and all her anxiety and love she has to give! 🥰❤️
