This , we'd like to spotlight our handsome boy Kid.

All of our dogs are special in their own way, but Kid has definitely had a particularly unique life. He was raised from puppyhood entirely indoors, and while he's learned to enjoy being outside since coming to TWP, we think he'd particularly blossom in an indoor home where he gets plenty of one-on-one time with his new family. This sweet boy is currently pretty timid, but as all of our volunteers will tell you, it's a very rewarding process to bond with a shy pup and watch their personalities start to be revealed. If you're up for this rewarding challenge, check out our adoption policy here: https://texaswolfdogproject.org/our-dogs/adoption-policy

Can't adopt right now, but still want to help Kid? You can sponsor him or any of our other dogs here: https://texaswolfdogproject.org/support/sponsorship

In the wild, deer make up the majority of a wolf's diet, but these adaptable, intelligent canids have been observed eating everything from blueberries to barnacles. Some of the wolfdogs at TWP, on the other hand, have started boycotting every other treat we have in favor of the chicken jerky treats from Full Moon. Please help keep our picky pups happy by donating treats here: https://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/1KONZKA8H9E70/ref=cm_sw_r_fa_ws_bRqhsb0TRXHW0?fbclid=IwY2xjawLIIddleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFOV2lvV2lKRDluRXd0Z0VoAR7hq2JiHMoPrCxFWM9n-zbKwuRoKWDJZl_3ZAlwmPQvoyDiVflWGZeFvI1Qlw_aem_JQPOly6NUZhW8SjmWdkTsQ

our wolfdogs have lots of opinions, and will tell you all about them.

He's here safe! A huge, HUGE thank you to everyone who donated and shared to get him here. He has a long road ahead - he's heartworm positive, has an upset stomach, and will need a careful diet to gain weight safely, but we're in it for the long haul.

That's one more gentle soul saved. Welcome home, little one. ❤️

Happy Independence Day from our favorite red and white boy, Lupin! However you celebrate, be certain that your pets are safe and secure tonight - the Fourth of July is the day on which the largest number of pets go missing. Calming sprays such as Adaptil, vests such as the ThunderShirt, and supplements containing l-theanine can all help keep Fido feeling a little more secure while we celebrate our freedoms.

We need your help! 😭

This poor, starved boy is currently in a shelter in Oklahoma City after being saved from an animal cruelty case. The wonderful folks at the shelter say he is as gentle and sweet as can be and that he's an all-around favorite. ❤️🐾

We are committed to taking him, but every bit helps us with the costs of transport and care.

Will you help us get this big boy here where he can get the special love and care a woofer needs?

Donations can be made on our website and through social media. You can also visit our Amazon Wishlist and send treatos for this baby to snack on. ❤️🐺🥩🍗🍖

It's Forever Home Friday again, and time for Osa to make an appearance. This beautiful tripod girl is always a tour favorite due to her bubbly, silly personality. She's well-known among our volunteers and guests alike for making "wookie noises" when getting scritches and belly rubs. Losing a leg hasn't slowed her down at all, and turning ten years old this year hasn't lessened her interest in going on walks or playing with her penmate, Lupin, either. Osa is really one-of-a-kind, and we're so glad she's brought so much joy to TWP, but we'd love to see her find a forever home for her senior years.

Interested in adopting Osa? You can read our adoption criteria here: https://texaswolfdogproject.org/our-dogs/adoption-policy

If you can't adopt right now but still want to support Osa, you can sponsor her (or any of our other animals) here: https://texaswolfdogproject.org/support/sponsorship

In the wild, wolves travel an average of sixteen miles per day in search of food. Here at TWP, our wolfdogs take our volunteers on a mile-long walk every week. ❤️

Dakota was out being the best ambassador when she got immortalized in caricature form by ! She was her usual goofy self, however, and managed to catch and consume a dragonfly, which is also immortalized in the picture (RIP to that dragonfly).

Is your family looking for a new pup? Nyko might be the boy for you! 🐾

Nyko is six years young, a DNA-tested low content at 46% wolf heritage, and a 100% certified marshmallow. He's one of our sweetest and most happy-go-lucky pups. Nyko loves people, including kids, and gets along with most other dogs, cheerfully turning the other cheek if another dog shows a little attitude. He was previously an indoor/outdoor dog, and we're pretty sure his idea of heaven would be a couch to curl up on and walkies with his family.

Nyko will need a canine buddy to keep him company in his new home while his pet parents are away. Otherwise, this low-key boy is one of our most adoptable dogs. Can you provide him with a home? Read our adoption policy and apply to adopt here: https://texaswolfdogproject.org/our-dogs/adoption-policy
