Please continue to be on the lookout for Bennie as you’re visiting friends and family 🙏🏻 Look in their neighbor’s yards. If you see a dog you think looks like him, please take a picture. We are praying for a Christmas miracle that he will make it home 🎄
To whoever has our boy, if you won’t let him come home, please, please, please bring him inside through this weather. He doesn’t like the cold. He’s a house baby, and he needs to be warm. My heart is ripping again wondering if he is being left outside in a kennel 💔

Bennie, our beloved Brittany, went missing from our home in Monticello, FL on 9/11/22. There have been zero confirmed sightings, and only six possible sightings listed below.
Bennie is an extremely friendly dog that has never met a stranger. Knowing his personality leads us to believe he would have looked for kindness in the first person he saw. It is very possible that Bennie is still out there, having a blast and chasing deer in the woods in North Florida or South Georgia, unable to find his way home. It is also very possible that he is in someone’s backyard or in a crate in their house. We are pleading with everyone to keep an extra eye out for our boy. If you see a dog you think may be him, even 500 miles from us, please send us a picture and note his location. It can’t hurt. I’d rather receive 1000 false messages of hope than none, because that means our chances of finding him are even greater.
Our home and hearts are not the same without him. Every one of us is devastated. All 5 of us feel to our core that he is still alive and that he will make it home, but we know we can’t do it alone. We cannot express the gratitude we have for the thousands of shares and words of kindness you all have expressed already. We are so thankful for each and every one of you that are helping us search for our Bennie Boy! 🐶 We can’t thank you enough ❤️
Possible Sightings:
•The week of 9/26 possible sighting Hwy 90 near Salt Rd in Jefferson County
•The week of 10/3 possible sighting US 19 near the FL/GA line
•The weekend of 10/8/22 there were 3 possible sightings on Goose Pasture Rd, but none could be sure whether the dog they saw had a tail and/or a collar. We set two feeding stations and cameras up for 2 weeks at the sighting locations, as well as 10+ trips looking all around the area and did not see any dogs.

💕An open letter to those who have found lost pets.
Many of you that find pets are quick to try to reunite them with their owners. You go to great lengths to make sure they get back home safely.
For you, I have endless respect and gratitude. You have no idea how much your thoughtfulness means to these pet owners, until your pet is missing.
This letter is to those that find a pet and decide NOT to try find the pet's family.
Put yourself in the family's place.
How would you feel?
Their 4 legged family member is missing.
They look for them everywhere. While looking and not finding their pet, they look at the leash, bed, bowls, and toys, a constant reminder that their family member is missing.
They have no idea if their pet is living with someone or has been hit by a car, or even worse.
There is a loss that can not be filled.
All the tears shed will not bring their four legged baby back.
Think of the pain families have as they search for their pet every day on the streets, online and in shelters with no answers.
The sleepless nights. Every bark or meow they chase down hoping it is their baby, only to find it isn't.
The dog or cat you found may be sweet, purebred or young. But they aren't your pet. The pet isn't legally yours to keep, give away or sell.
If you know who the owner is that is looking for the pet you decide to keep, that's even worse and is actually illegal as animals are lawfully considered "property". That pet you decide to keep or sell is now considered stolen property.
Perhaps you found a pet in terrible condition, appears neglected or possibly abused? Your first thought is the owner shouldn't get their pet back. You judge or punish the owner without knowing the circumstances.
Maybe that pet has been lost for a long time, far from home, perhaps was stolen and mistreated and what did they go through just to survive while trying to find their way home?
What do you think the owner has been going through for months not knowing what has happened to their pet?
Please search your heart and look for the owner.
You can post on Facebook on any Lost & Found Pet page. If you don't want to post on Facebook send the owner a private message. You can have animal control come pick up the pet as a stray if you can't contact the owner.
Everyone that has lost a pet wants one thing, their pet back, it doesn't matter who returns them.
If you have a pet you found and are keeping it, please think about the family that pet belongs to and how you would feel if it were your pet someone was keeping.
Please please give pets back to the people who love them
