Cotton Ginny spent the day at our daughter's house today. A hole in the pool didn't slow her or Eli down! They will both crash tonight. Summer Fun!

Busy week on the farm...Ashley, our groomer, was here Thursday and all of our gang had a bath and their nails done. Great job Ashley! If any of our puppy friends in the Richmond area need a groomer let us know and we will put you in touch with Ashley.

Started the morning on rough note, but the rain has slowed and we are able to enjoy a wet walk on the farm. Looks like wrist surgery is on our agenda next week.

The two pups we are training currently. On the left is Lucy, A Pearl pup, and on the right is Cotton Ginny, Pearl's sister . Both girls are doing wonderfully. Two at a time can be a challenge, but it's working out well with these babies.

Pearl's 2 year old pup, Maverick, is knocking it out of the park at the dog show this weekend! 2 first place wins and best in breed. Still competing today...we're rooting for you sweet boy!

We are getting new , heavier fence for this big boy. He loves inside, sometimes I need him to go outside...I put him out, he takes the fence down and comes back to the house smiling as if to say " Sorry I didn't keep up with you, but someone put a fence up between us!?!?"

Willow, the poodle, is the official referee for the rope toy tug of war game! We only allow rope toys with supervision. They never last long but they are oh so fun!!!

And then there were two...one goes home on Saturday and the other gets an extended stay on the farm for training. Reports on the other pups are good. Everyone is settling in nicely in their new homes!

Journey and Sunny went to vet for prelim OFAs today. All was well until they took Sunny back. Journey tried her " mean face" , a hug, a howl and a smile to get us to take her home. She finally gave up and just closed her eyes! Guess she figured if she couldn't see them ,they couldn't see her! Lol
All is well, both are home safe and sound and their hips and elbows looked great!

Big week for the
pups ! Pearl's are 3 weeks this weekend and Bliss pup, Bessie, is 4. Bessie curious about a rug I hung on the whelping bed...about everything!
Pearl pups all walking now. Heat lamps are gone and all have been introduced to small amounts of puppy mash. This weeks focus will be continue with gradual increase in mash and litter box training in full!!!!
They are starting to play and show preference for specific toys😃

The pups are growing and learning. Formal training has begun but they learn by experience and here everyone is involved! So blessed to have our grandchildren sharing our love for these sweet dogs.

Cookie' pups are 3 weeks old now and are up and playing . They started on puppy mash yesterday and are loving life😋

Cookie's litter- they are finding their voices🎶, still working on balance! Almost 2 weeks old.

The new collar and name tag that I put on to check fit was way more entertaining than the carrots and ice cubes! Please note we only use collars when we are going out somewhere on leash. They are not safe.

Preparation for Christmas is obviously exhausting for Cookie... and to all, a good night!

These two have pretty well perfected sitting up for treats but Breeze won't try and the others fall over...sometimes backwards but treats for all anyway

Only a few weeks after the last of Pearl's puppies went home with his new family our new guy arrived from Heavenly polar labs in Idaho. I didn't think Pearl would be interested in a new pup... I was wrong. She's already teaching him her tricks 💕His name is Hayden, after the lake in Idaho where my parents live half of the year. Trying to gradually introduce him to the rest of our crew but will go slowly so I don't overwhelm him. They can be a lively bunch😆

I know some pups who will sleep well tonight!

It doesn't get much sweeter than this little guy! Well, actually both of them! Black collar is staying with us a little longer and meeting with a dental specialist to double check his overbite. As you can see it doesn't seem to be bothering him in the least! Eating and gaining as well as the other puppies.
