Seth Phillips has been working as a full time farrier for over 7 years and services the Hanover, Goochland, Glen Allen, Chesterfield, and surrounding areas. As a 3rd generation farrier, he grew up around horses his entire life and apprenticed with well known horseshoer George Phillips. As an adolescent, Seth spent every summer riding in the truck with his Grandfather helping with the horses and be
coming familiar with the trade. Upon graduating high school, Seth apprenticed a few farriers in Connecticut before returning to Virginia to begin his career as a full time farrier. Seth Phillips Farrier Service is a professional horseshoeing practice that caters to the equine athlete. Our mission to keep your horse sound and excelling at his career. In addition to hot and cold shoeing, we are able to provide our clients with specialty shoeing such as aluminum shoes, glue-ons, Equicast, pads, drilling and taping, as well as many other requests. We also have lots of experience with aiding in the treatment of founder and laminitis. Phillips Farrier Service has a great working relationship with area veterinarians and are happy to collaborate with them on lameness issues.
