University of MinneSODA fans rejoice - Dr. Pepper, PhD is ready for a new patient! Just kidding, Pepper only has his degree in FIZZics 🙂
Pepper is an 18yo 15.1h Appaloosa Gelding. He’s the horse you drew in kindergarten come to life, right down to the stick tail. (Hey it’s growing okay!) Forget “fizzics”, this guy has a degree in safety and minored in “Stand Still-ology”. His favorite places are anywhere where there’s food, and in the crossties. He loves to be groomed, grazed, and generally be loved on.
In the saddle, he is unflappable. I have squealed, yelled, thrown my hands in the air like I just didn’t care and Pepper doesn’t flinch. Outside ba****ck? No problem. Dressed up like a carousel horse? We’re doin it. Wreath in the snow with the wind whipping? Okie dokie. He is a very steady eddy and will walk and trot until the cows come home.
HOWEVER. He is not for a tiny tiny rider. He needs someone with some upper body strength, as we’ve come to the part of the ad where I give you his one vice. He will root when he thinks he can get away with it. Yes, he’s had his teeth done. Yes, I’ve checked his hocks. It’s purely to get out of work. And only when the rider is not strong enough or paying attention enough to give him a correction. Once he realizes you’re not playing, he gives up.
Buttery, lovely canter, and he will go over a crossrail. He does not willingly give up the canter though, and is not phased by the lunge whip (unflappable!). He is BEST suited for a strong walk trotter, a good riding tween who wants something fun, a therapy horse, trail horse, or a petite adult’s buddy. Maintenance consistent with age.

“Muddy Buddy” aka Pretzel is your dream horse drawing come to life! Cute as a button and sweet to boot, there’s nothing salty about this 2006 POA mare. She’s a walk trot superstar and will go English or Western. Canter is there, just takes encouragement. A proper lady for grooming, farrier, and vet. For your consideration, Trooper! 2006 Registered Irish Sport Horse Gelding, 17h big flashy guy. Puppy dog personality, in your pocket on the ground. Big, confident mover who will easily take you where you want to go in the dressage or equitation ring. Currently schooling second level. Fancy and talented for a professional, but happy and sane enough for an ammy rider. I can’t say enough nice things about this guy. Stands nicely for grooming, vet, farrier. Goes in a loose ring with a lozenge, easy keeper. Turns out with geldings right now and sits in the middle of the pack, friends with everyone. Some quirks, he is not jumping regularly at this time, would love to talk to you about his potential. Would excel with a professional or any intermediate rider in a program. A barn favorite and a super fun ride! Low 🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕, located in Montrose, PA!

Pippi has a strong dressage foundation and has been extensively shown through PA. Schooling 2’9 with scope to spare. This mare can take a joke, and has been winning the equitation with a junior rider for the last two seasons. Currently used in our program for all levels- this mare is safe enough for your beginner but talented enough for your AO. 3 smooth gaits, kick ride. Built for comfort, this mare is a showstopper. Pippi would love her own person to pamper and take to the next level. Loads, ties, trailers with ease. Very sweet on the ground! Just as fun out of the ring, loves to swim. Can be mareish in season but easily managed. Pippi has been raised and cared for by one family her whole life, so a 5 ⭐️ Home is imperative! Horses like this don’t come around often, come see for yourself!

🧚‍♂️Tinkerbell is a 2010 Welsh Pony Cross Mare. Tinkerbell is approximately 13hh, and very sweet. She is green broke to ride, will walk, trot, and pop over cross rails. She prefers being outside to ring work under saddle. She needs continued education with a pro to be a riding pony. She drives single like a champ! She is a very flashy mover and is sure to get you noticed. This girl is ready for you to bring your gear down and drive her for yourself! No maintenance, needs a dry lot. A stunning pony on a budget!

🐴Tater Tot is a 14yo, 14.1 Haflinger Cross Gelding. Are you or your loved one a little sassy? Do you want a little sassy pony to match? Then Tater is your guy! Tater can w/t/c around like nobody’s business, but needs someone to keep him steady and focused. He can be quick, so an intermediate kid or adult is reccommended. In the ring he does his job like a good boy. On the ground, he needs help with his hoof manners and standing still. Tater is a Haflinger at heart, so he has that Haffie “flair”. He is VERY cute and will make someone a really lovely gaming horse, trail horse, or WTC pony if you are willing to put in the time. He should be in a professional program. He has some arthritis in his front left knee, so he takes a joint supplement for maintenance. In Montrose, PA!

🏴‍☠️Captain Crunch is a 2010 Welsh Pony Cross Gelding. Captain Crunch would love a new home where he could receive lots of love! He is a very in your pocket pony with good ground manners. Captain is a little nervous about new things, but makes up for it with how kind he is! He stands about 12hh and would be an excellent driving project or “Emotional Support” pony for your single horse. Captain knows some natural horsemanship and would need continued education. He requires a dry lot for pasture. Lowest 🥕🥕🥕🥕
