Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day is celebrated annually to honor and remember pets that have passed away. The day is meant to be a time for reflection, love, and gratitude for the time spent with pets. It's also a reminder of the bond shared with animal companions and the hope of a reunion.

The day was founded by author and blogger Deborah Barnes in honor of her cat, Mr. Jazz, who died on August 28, 2013. The day is based on an anonymous poem written in the 1980s and 1990s called "Rainbow Bridge". The poem describes a meadow where pets go after they die, and a bridge that connects the meadow to Heaven. When a pet and its owner are reunited, they cross the bridge together.

Here are some ways to celebrate Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day:
Share memories of your pet
Create an outdoor memorial
Get a tattoo of your pet
Donate to an animal charity
Write a poem or journal
Build a memorial page online
Compile a video of memories together

Regular vet care is important for a cat's health and well-being. Cats can suffer from many of the same diseases as humans and dogs, but they are often good at hiding their illnesses. Routine vet visits can help prevent illnesses, such as feline periodontal disease, and help ensure your cat's balanced nutrition.

To reduce stress for your cat during their visit, you can try acclimating them to their carrier before going.

On World Honeybee Day, let's recognize and honor the incredible impact of honeybees on our global food supply.

Did you know that 70% of our food system depends on pollinators, and about 80% of that pollination is done by honeybees? The loss of flowering plants would not only devastate our ecosystem but also harm our economy.

Let's raise awareness and take action to protect these essential pollinators.

6 WAYS TO CELEBRATE WORLD HONEY BEE DAY

1. Collect and spread local wildflower seeds to promote honey bee pollination.
2. Flavors of honey vary depending on the variety of flowers and nectar available to the
bees.
3. Clover, alfalfa, lavender, orange, and chestnut are just a few to choose from.
4. Replace your usual sweetener with honey for the day. Taste the difference!
5. Give the gift of honey to a friend, neighbor, co-worker or family member.
6. Share your sweet honey stories on social media tagging .

The holiday is mainly celebrated by schools, zoos, parks, and reptile enthusiasts. It focuses on raising awareness of reptiles as pets, and some ways to celebrate include:
Sharing pictures and videos of your favorite lizard on social media with

Hiking in search of lizard fun facts
Watching videos about lizards on YouTube

Lizards are reptiles with scaly skin, long bodies, four legs, and movable eyelids. They are cold-blooded and rely on sunlight for survival, and can be found on every continent except Antarctica. Lizards are important as both predators and prey species, and can help control agricultural pests.
