Tater is here for a few weeks of training. We are working on his confidence in dealing with noises that make him very nervous. Yesterday this leash dragging behind him really bothered him. His food drive is over riding that fear, which is excellent. Don't ever let a trainer tell you that food isn't necessary in solid training. 😉 But, it's not ALL about the food.
Looking forward to seeing Tater's progress😊🦮

Asher is here for a week of training. He arrived on a harness and dragging his owner everywhere. Put him on a flat collar, and this was our first walk. He did great! What a big, goofy, sweet boy. He was completely confused at the rooster crowing😅🐓

Siri & I took Izzy into the woods for a little adventure. This is my favorite place to proof recall, because it's fenced in, but the dogs don't know that. Izzy did fantastic! 10/10 on recall. 🤩

Up until a few days ago I had to coax Phoebe out of her "tent" & her pen, and then getting her outside I typically had to put a leash on to get her out. The last few days, she's happily coming out on her own. After this she climbed into my lap and gave me kisses. Huge progress for this little cutie pie. 🥰🤩

Sweet little Phoebe is here for some confidence boosting. She's afraid of every tiny noise, people, other dogs...basically the whole world is scary to her. So far she is doing remarkable! Her appetite is great, she even has taken treats from my hand. She's doing very well letting me pick her up. How adorable is this little girl!?🥰

Peaches is here for training. She has excellent obedience, but that isn't helping her nervousness. She's very uncertain and aloof, although if I just sit down she is comfortable with me. She isn't having any outward separation anxiety and is very well behaved. But I am going to help her love life a little more. 🧡🍑sweet girl

One of the most important things you can teach a dog is the art of doing nothing. Waffles made some nice progress yesterday, and the high winds were pretty distracting. 🧡 Leash manners don't need to be taught in motion. 😉

I always forget to get video of the dog before training. This time I remembered. Waffles is an extreme puller. He shot away from me a few times and literally almost pulled my arm out. He's incredibly strong, kinetic, determined, and has very little regard for who's at the other end of the leash. Time for some engagement work so that I actually matter to him.

Waffles is here for boarding, but he's also getting some lessons on leash walking. He's very very strong for a little guy and could easily pull a shoulder out! He did super for his 1st lesson today. Video to come.
