Just a friendly reminder that I will no longer be accepting farm sitting reservations until further notice! I will still be honoring the ones I've already scheduled up until November 2023, of course. Thank you so much to everyone for understanding, I absolutely love what I do but am excited to get ready for our little one as well ❀️.

If you missed my previous posts, I am pregnant and due early December. I hope to take these extra months to get our farm and house ready for baby, and then simply enjoy being a first-time parent! My hope (although this is not set in stone, please check back on this page for updates) is to return to farm sitting in the spring of 2024 (possibly April/May). It will all depend on how our farm and family is functioning, but that is my hope.

Please note that I will be raising my rates in 2024 and altering my services. I will no longer be able to offer all-day stays or overnight stays (due to having a baby to take care of). So I will be strictly offering drop-in visits.

As of now, my plan is to increase rates by $10.
$45 per visit for small farms
$55 per visit for medium-sized farms
Large operations will be quoted on a case by case basis.
So for example, if you have a small farm and would like me to visit twice per day, it would be $90 per day.

I will also be capping my travel capacity to 45 miles from Moose Lake, MN.

This is subject to change, but I do like to be as transparent as possible. I love what I do and do not want to stop offering this service. But with a baby in the picture now, I will have to inevitably alter my services a little bit.

I hope to start accepting new reservations for April/May as soon as March 2024. As always, I will keep you updated through this page. I will not respond to texts or phone calls starting in November since I will officially be on my "maternity leave".

Thanks again for making what I love to do possible! I'm excited to get back into it in 2024!

Nothing beats watching your goats do what they do best... eat everything πŸ˜‚.

During my first trimester, I had to take a step back in my involvement on our homestead. I was way too sick to do much of anything productive. But I did a lot of watching, which was always so comforting. It's been nice to get some energy back and be able to participate on projects again, although I'm still exhausted about 75% of the time!

If you haven't read my announcement and the changes coming to my farm sitting service, please check it out! It's kind of important 😊.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I am so excited and humbled to announce that a little farm hand is coming to my homestead in December πŸ₯°. This has been an unexpected gift, and we are so excited for this new journey into parenthood!

I am making this announcement on my farm sitting page because, inevitably, having a little human is going to change some things. I am so incredibly grateful for all of the people who have entrusted their farms and pets with me. While it is hard work, it is even more fun for me.

I really appreciate everyone's understanding as I navigate what impact expecting my first is going to have on my farm sitting. I have decided that I will not be accepting any new bookings from the month of August (2023) into the foreseable future. I already have several weeks booked for August-October, and I plan to still honor those. I will be taking maternity leave starting in November so I can get ready for baby, and then simply enjoy being a first-time mom. I will be reaching out to anyone who has reached out about those months in the near future. Again, I appreciate your understanding in this unexpected but exciting chapter!

As of right now, I can't say for certain when my return date will be. My current hope is that I could return to farm sitting in spring of 2024. But I will make an official announcement when I feel that my family and my farm are ready to lose some of my time and attention. 😊 However, my services will change slightly upon my return since I will not be able to offer all day or overnight stays with a baby at home. I will be offering strictly drop-in visits within a 45-minute drive from my home. 😊

What an adventure 2023 has been! I am so grateful for all of life's crazy chapters πŸ₯°.

🌟 Meet my animals 🌟

These are our four does. Their names are Linda, Tina, Louise, & Gene.

Linda and Tina are around 7 years old, so they're experienced trouble makers πŸ˜‚ Louise (white kid) is only 5 months old, while Gene (darker one with horns) is a year.

They are super sweet, but super timid. We've only had them for a month, so they're still warming up to us. As soon as they do, we're going to trim their hooves and have to start all over though 🀣.

🌟 Meet my animals 🌟

These are my boys. In total, we have 11 Nigerian Dwarf goats. 4 are female, while the rest are males. We have 3 bucks, and 4 wethers 😊.

All of our goats are named after our favorite animated TV shows.
In the first picture we have Korvo, Yumulack, and Terry.
The second picture is Hermes, Nibbler, Bender, & Fry.

As frustrating as goats can be, they have a very special place in my heart. I love my goats πŸ₯°.

🌟 Meet my animals 🌟

These here are my two sassy geldings. I board these guys currently, but have plans to get them home by this fall 😁.

Punch is on the left. He is 13 years old. He is a red dun Appendix. His nickname is Sassafras so that probably says it all πŸ˜‚. But he is equally so sweet and playful. I ride this guy English.

Duke is on the right. He is 26 years old. He is a bald face palomino. I'm unsure of his breed, but he's got some paint in there since he has one blue eye. Duke is a very sensitive soul, and a very opinionated old man. But once you earn his trust, he's a sweet boy. He is a retired therapy horse. I ride him Western.

🌟 Meet my animals 🌟

I thought it might be fun to do a little series where you get to see who I care for on a daily basis (my crazies). So let's start with the dogs. Yup, I have FIVE of them.

Our very first dog was Prim, the half-flop mutt. She is the loudest, yet best dog we have ever owned. She has helped me raise neonatal kittens. She hangs out with our goats. Overall, she is seriously the best girl. However, she wasn't always that way. She was a rescue found on the streets of Texas as just a 2 month old puppy. She was all by herself. She was EXTREMELY fearful when we adopted her a few months later. She wouldn't even go through doorways. Moving to the country has completely transformed Prim. She is pretty close to fearless now.

Mando is our brown & white Siberian husky. He is 2 years old, and he was rehomed to us about a year and a half ago. He is sweet and spicy. He's got A LOT of sass. But he loves giving hugs, being chased, and blissfully ignoring us.

Next is Boba. He's actually 2.5, but he came to us shortly after Mando. Boba is the big-headed lug sleeping in all of the pictures πŸ˜‚. Boba was a bit of a rescue situation when he was rehomed to us. He was skinny, he had never been walked or bathed. His paws bled if they so much as touched grass. His separation anxiety was so severe that if he was not touching me at any given moment, he would scream. He has made huge progress since we got him. His allergies are pretty much nonexistent now. He has gained 20 lbs, and is now a healthy whopping 70 lbs (his head weighs 4 lbs!!!). His separation anxiety is significantly better. Overall, he's a totally different dog.

Ahsoka Tano is our grey and white Siberian husky. She is our sassy little lady (shocker I know). She has some behavioral issues that we are working on, but she's making great progress! She was rehomed to us at 5 months old, and she had only ever been around one other dog. So she joined our crazy crew and has had to learn a lot. But she excels at cuddles, strong opinions, & hoarding toys.

Storm is our newest member of the family. She was also rehomed to us. She is a yellow lab. Because my husband wants to hunt grouse on our property, we needed a hunting dog. Storm just so happened to be a fully trained hunting dog, so we decided, "Why not?" She is definitely a lab, and will eat just about anything and everything. But she is so sweet. I forgot what it's like to own a dog that actually wants to make you happy 🀣.

These are my crazy doggos that I care for every day. If owning 5 dogs doesn't make me experienced with caring for dogs, I'm not sure what does πŸ˜‚. While I mainly market for farm sitting, I do love caring for dogs. How can you not?

One of the hardest animals to entrust to another person is by far horses. For my horse owners out there, I totally get it. For my non-horse owners out there, let me tell you why.

When these 1,000+ lb creatures are in our care, we take things seriously. If you can't read their body language, you can find yourself in dangerous situations, even with the best horses. When they require strict diets, you need someone who understands. When they have health conditions and require medication/monitoring, you need someone you can trust to pay attention and follow directions.

I will never claim to be an expert in any animal, because the truth is I'm just a person who happens to have some experience under my belt 😊. But I do have a 26 year-old (Duke) and a 12 year-old (Punch). So I know the feeling. I know the stress of leaving them in someone else's care. I understand the desire to have the high level of care you give your horses replicated even when you're away. I can empathize with the worry you feel.

If you ever need someone to watch your horses while you're away, let me know. I'd be happy to help. 😊

Do you have a husky? Do you worry that your pet sitter may not be able to handle the husky-ness of your husky? Well I'm here to assure you that I have managed to survive/thrive with TWO huskies πŸ˜„.

This is Mando, my almost 2 year old Siberian husky. He has a lot to say, so I am well voiced in the husky language and attitude. I also know just how important it is to keep their routines in place as much as possible, and just how talented they are at selectively listening πŸ€ͺ. But all in all, I think that they are truly incredible dogs and so much fun to be around!

If you have a husky and are looking for someone with experience to dog sit, I just may be the person for the job. Please don't hesitate to reach out! 😊

I thought it might be helpful to put a face to the name of this page! So hi there, my name is Bryza! I live in Moose Lake, MN, with my husband and our 30-something animals.

I have loved animals my whole life. In fact, pet sitting was my very first job. I have owned just about every pet I can think of- dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, lizards, turtles, frogs... In more recent years, however, my husband and I have focused on developing our own homestead.

At the moment, we have 5 dogs, 4 cats, 5 guinea pigs, 7 goats, 10 chickens, and 2 horses. The 70 lb lap dog in the picture is our pit/shepherd/lab mix Boba. I'm not sure if he's my emotional support dog, or if I'm his emotional support human... But I do know that he is a good boy πŸ˜…β€.

I was inspired to offer this service because I realized how hard it is to find someone to watch your four-legged family members! As someone with animals who have unique needs, I can absolutely empathize with the stress of finding the right fit. I believe it's so important to find a pet/farm sitter who can replicate to the best of their ability the structure and routine you have in place.

I hope you'll keep me in mind if you're looking for a pet or farm sitter!
