Rain day fun !

Here is a fun inside game we do with the dogs on rain days in daycare . The Box game with treats inside to sniff out ! We have empty box’s and objects we lay out as well . We do have outside covered area for the dogs but we like to do this without the wind blowing scent around . These nose work games are the basic ground work to training we do for NACSW nose work we train for . Nose work games are a fun way to keep your your dogs mind sharp . Providing mental stimulation is important for a dogs calmness and can help prevent behavioral issues . Here are a few benefits nose work can provide - outlet for your dogs energy - can help build confidence and focus - strengthen the bond between you and your dog -help your dog socialize with dogs and smells -helps your dog feel good by releasing the (feel good) hormones in their brain - gives your dog a sense of control by allowing them to sniff what they want and where . Best part about all this is your dog already knows how to smell really good ! Haha We do this with our daycare dogs and they really enjoy it !! This is Arlo, as you can see he is a fast learner . We line the dogs up outside the door and let them in one at a time and they each get three turns . We have as much fun as they do 🤩. Don’t to forget to Share 🙏

Daycare advantages

Daycare is open and we are booking all dates for boarding . Using Mayfield Mountain kennels for your daycare and boarding needs has its advantages!!!!! While you are away and your pup is boarding with us , if it’s on our daycare list , we can let your pup into daycare all day rather than in a kennel . It’s a lot better for the dogs to interact and play all day so they sleep well at night . This is an option if you already have a dog that has been approved for daycare ! You can see how much fun they have !!! Thanks !! We look forward to pampering your pups !!!
