Thank you for visiting the official page of the Florida Parade of Retired Equine Champions. We’re working to bring Ocala / Marion County visitors face-to-face with Florida champion horses, through building a museum and visitors' center dedicated to Florida champion horses. Our Mission: to build a Florida hall of champion horses housing a museum & visitors center. Ocala and Marion County

visitors and residents will be inspired, informed and educated by meeting Florida champion horses face-to-face and learning about the history and importance of the many breeds of horses in Florida. While we work to achieve our long-range building goals, you may now book guided tours with Farm Tours of Ocala to meet champion horses like Presious Passion, and learn more about FPREC's future plans. You can learn more here and on our website about our progress, upcoming events, featured Florida equine champions, and how you, too, can help by donating or volunteering. The Florida Parade of Retired Equine Champions facility will feature a variety of breeds of Florida horses – from record-setting Thoroughbred racehorses to Arabians, Quarter Horses, sporthorses and more! Ocala is truly the "Horse Capitol of the World" - and we're working hard to create a wonderful opportunity to help make Florida's equine champions more accessible to the public.

➡ The grace of a great egret in the wild can be captivating.

These long-legged wading birds stand motionless as they hunt for food... and in the blink of an eye they stab the water’s surface with their bayonet-shaped bills.

If you hope to get the photo, just be patient and set your camera to a lightning-fast shutter speed! 📸⚡

Improve your chances of getting the “money shot” at Lake Kissimmee State Park. It’s perfect for birding with its water, wetlands and other habitats that attract many types of birds. 🐦🦅🦆🦉

You’ll discover lots of fun opportunities at this . It’s a Central Florida oasis less than 20 miles from downtown Orlando. 🌴

➡️CRIME MAPPING⬅️
With it being Vehicle Theft Prevention month, did you know about the crime mapping feature on our website? When you go to our website, www.marionso.com at the bottom of the page you will see our crime mapping tab. You can put in your address, or the address of a home you are thinking about buying/renting and see if any crimes have taken place in that area. If any crime appears, you can click on the balloon and it will inform you what type of crime it was. You can also adjust the date range for how far you want to go back.
It is a great tool, and we hope it helps keep our citizens informed about any crime trends in that particular area. By having this information, measures can be taken to help you stay safe from criminals.
