This morning Sofia started crying and I realized she would be whelping today not this coming Friday! The first puppy arrived at 11:35 this morning. By 1424 Sofia had easily and quickly whelped 8 puppies. Between 1700 and 2151 the last three (I hope) arrived. What a good girlie!

CH Saltydawg Sir Prize Sir Prize! (Surprise) & CH Saltydawg’s Snuggle Bug DCAT CGC TKN (Sofia) are expecting puppies on or about 31 May. We are currently interviewing for appropriate placements. Parents are clear of JDCM, MO, GM1, PRA, EOPRA, and he is clear of CDDY, has EXCELLENT hips and Normal elbows. She carries one mutant gene of CDDY, has GOOD hips and normal elbows and is clear of everything else we DNA test for.
Sofia DOES NOT carry the “e” red recessive gene responsible for his color.

Yesterday there was a post regarding a car for sale on the Moultonborough, NH groups. I have been looking for something for my 19 yo granddaughter to get her back and forth to work at Forestview Manor in Meredith that does not involve my 2024 Toyota Sienna, which she is currently using leaving me tied to the house. The seller asked for a “refundable” $500. We got it electronically sent and she came back with “someone is willing to put down $1000”. Send me another $500 as I know you really want the car.” Nox insisted I refuse, it then went to $300 and Nox told me “please grandma don’t”, this morning it went to send me another $100 and you can see it this afternoon!
I have now requested my deposit back and told her that she should sell to the person willing to put $1000 down sight unseen.
I thought I was now being ghosted but the woman Has now sent me that I need to
Send her another $200 and I can see the car!
I stupidly sent the money as the car seemed a good deal from the write up and pictures. Although later Nox pointed out we cannot see an inspection sticker on the windshield.

The Saltydawg PWDs have two new AKC champions! Sir Prize (2y5m) and Amelia (1y3m). Amelia is out of Decker x Sofia and is DNA clear for everything the PWDCA recommends testing for.
Sir Prize is out of Cyrus x Kenzie and is also clear of everything plus excellent hips and normal elbows.

Puppy mills love the internet! They bank on families wanting puppies shipped to their doors. The fact is, most online puppy sellers who ship or deliver puppies are puppy mills. Don't support puppy mill cruelty of any kind! Always pick your puppy up in person, meet the mother so you can see in person her mental and physical conditions, then see where all of the breeders dogs live. If they won't let you...they are hiding something.
