Dog adoptions are $100
Both adoptions will include the spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine as long as new adopted pet is old enough at time of adoption, first set of vaccinations and dewormer.

Saluki and Ella are seven-month-old siblings who were initially wary of humans due to their experiences as feral puppies. However, since their time at the shelter, they have learned to trust humans once again. Despite our best efforts to find them a forever home, they remain available for adoption. Given the current situation with evacuation efforts, rescues are unable to provide further assistance. These energetic pups weigh 34 pounds and 30 pounds, respectively. Oh sweet Emmylou has had such a hard start to life, we found her almost lifeless in a ditch here in Moultrie a couple months ago. She was severely malnourished to the point to where she had no strength to stand up. Months later after receiving lots of TLC from the shelter staff she is gaining weight back little by little, and she loves to run and play! Even though she has been through so much in such little time you can still see there is so much hope in her eyes. Please help us find Emmylou her forever home, so she can see that there’s more to life that what she has been offered so far !! Yesterday, we received the news that no one ever wants to hear... "Your dog's days are numbered!" We only met this sweet dog along with her 2 pups on Monday when the 911 call came in for a welfare check on the owner. When officers arrived and saw the condition of her body, they immediately contacted animal control. We picked her up and took her straight to the vet where we learned that she had a large mass the size of a softball. The owner neglected to have her treated and now the mass has metastasized to her lungs. (Yes, we are pursuing animal neglect charges) After receiving this news, MCCHS staff knew this girl deserved love in the end. So, she was picked up from the vet's office for several hours and taken to several places in the community to have a day of fun. She enjoyed a pup cup from Starbucks and a good ole cheeseburger and fries from Burger King and a nice walk in the park and got to meet some new friends along the way. After her day of love, Lucy was taken back to the vet's office where she was still in the arms of loved ones and laid to rest. She leaves behind 2 puppies that are only 6 weeks old. We are asking for RESCUE help in pulling these 2 precious babies that are now without their mom to care for them! Some of you may have seen our previous post regarding Gale, well unfortunately this sweet baby is still at the shelter still hoping and praying his time for a forever family is coming ! So this week to make him a little more noticeable in hopes to finding him a home he is our ❤️🐶 PET OF THE WEEK 🐶❤️ And His adoption fee has been lowered to $50 ! Gale has been waiting for months with no interest. During his time at the shelter he has shown so much progress with different things such as walking on a leash and interacting with other dogs ! He is kennel trained and will not use the bathroom in his kennel unless he absolutely cannot hold it. He is a very active dog that seems to learn and catch onto things very quickly! Dog dumped at shelter

Update: Owner has been reunited with her dog! This poor dog was dumped at the shelter while we are CLOSED yesterday. He sat and patiently waited for your return, but sadly you never came back for him. Thankfully, a caring staff member ran up there and took him home to foster. 🚨Please do NOT dump your dog at the shelter! There is no one available to care for them and no one available to accept them. If you recognize this dog, please email information to societymoultriehumane@gmail@.com.
