Congrats Leaps and Squeaks!

Wow!!! 2024 was a monumental year for us- we had planned to begin taking intakes next Spring originally, but the need for a rabbit/guinea pig rescue in the Frederick area was so apparent, we did whatever we could do to get started. In just 6 months since opening, we’ve been able to establish ourselves as a non profit, build a board of directors, find forever homes for 8 critters, participated in 10+ events, built a wonderful foster network, and nearly complete renovating a facility for our rabbits. This could not be done without all of the support we have received from all of you and other rescues in the area. THANK YOU to all who have taken time to learn about our mission, donate, share, adopt, foster, and simply follow the journey. It is unimaginable where 2025 will take us, but we are hopeful we will do big things for our little furry friends. Have a safe and happy New Year everybody!

We LOVE our pocket pets! While Dr. Brianna is on maternity leave, we’re taking a brief PAWS on welcoming new small mammals to the practice. But don’t worry! If your little one needs care, give us a call, and we’ll do our best to guide you or help address their needs.

Hey MAVA family! If you are interested in recycling your Christmas trees, here's a fantastic option that benefits our community farms!

Once you are finished with your live Christmas tree, they can help benefit the animals at Farm Sweet Farm Animal Rescue.

Residents may drop off their green Christmas trees with no decorations on them at the Mount Airy Community Garden (714 Rising Ridge Rd.) between Dec. 26 - Jan. 12 to donate them to the farm.

The farm is also accepting Christmas tree donations at their 2415 McHenry Dr. location starting Dec. 26 by placing them next to their driveway.

Christmas trees provide the animals with antioxidants, a natural dewormer, and helps cut down on hay costs for a few weeks.

Consider recycling your Christmas tree after the holidays by donating to help this nonprofit's animals.
