Ms. Kiki hit a huge milestone today in her training! ❤️
Kiki has always had an irrational fear of things going over her head so she is not comfortable with other people leashing her other than her family. I can leash her easily but she was still hesitant to trust me enough to let me use something like a slip lead that directly goes over her face/head.
It has been a personal goal of mine to start introducing her to slip leads so that other people could use one to be able to leash her while still respecting her space.
Today we did it!
And just for good measure I attempted to dress her up with a neck band to take some cute pictures and play an Obedience game at the same, and we were able to do that together too!!❤️
Somewhat of a photo dump, but they all came out so cute!

What a perfect training opportunity for your Service Dog Training - utilizing the high traffic of people 2 days before Christmas! ❤️
You have to make turns tighter to the chair and ignore the massive amount of distractions in the store.

This year wraps up a full year of working on the special training program that I run out of Londonderry Animal Hospital. It is so dear to my heart as it has helped so many dogs that are so scared and over threshold during Veterinay exams. So much success has been made that I have plenty of available openings for new clients! I am trying to get the word out to the community about this wonderful program - because I really feel not enough people know about it!
Please everyone spread the word, are you sick of being upset over how stressed your dog is during Veterinary procedures that are needed to keep your dog happy and healthy - do you have an older dog that has never been real fond of it, and is now getting to the age that the stress of the exam could be determental to their health? Or are you just straight tired of having to drug your dog to be able to go to appointments safely, knowing that is a band aid and not a permanent solution?
Please don't hesitate to reach out to Londonderey Animal Hospital in Middletown and set up appointments for your dog to get the help that they need! Systematic positive desensitization and positive ways to help the dogs build relationships/trust with the staff really do work! ❤️
This vet hospital is absolutely wonderful with slowing everything down and accommodating your pets specific needs so they can be successful! ❤️
