Borrowed from another breeder.

What we now call blanket parti was classed as saddlebacks as the diagram depicts. In the original Pinscher Schnauzer Klub in Germany, there were four colors; Black, Black & Silver, Salt & Pepper, and the Black Parti. The Abbagamba Kennel produced Miniature Parti Schnauzers which were officially recognized and registered by the Pinscher-Schnauzer Klub. However, during the 1933 Depression, they had more Salt and Pepper pups than people in one town because of the new trendy Wired Hair Fox terrier which was enjoying widespread popularity. The only schnauzers that were selling were the Parti. color. So the Klub made the decision to kick the Parti out of the Klub temporarily and bring them back in after the depression. But, they never did. I have some great old photos of the Abbagamba Parti schnauzers in my article below.
