"When the horse is a tool to a person that has no interest in understanding their horse or in becoming a better horseperson, it may make sense to bring the horse to the level of the person. We NEVER start our young horses at age 2. They're NEVER mature enough physically or mentally. Then, there's always going to be one to prove you wrong and remind you to NEVER say never. Happy student and doing quite well with 30 rides.

Got a call I sure didn't want, this morning... Tom Peters said Mucha Hancock passed away without warning, yet peacefully, in his sleep last night. The stallion was 23 years old and lived all but a year of his life with Tom. Mucha Hancock was a stellar individual, and sire, for us to have used him on our mares so many times since 2005. There have been many Rowdy Blue Man sons, but if you understand mare lines and nicking, you understand his value--and the depth of this loss. We're thankful for the 6 daughters we have by him. We sold only 2 of his daughters, in all these years.

The first foal of the season has arrived. It's a filly out of the maiden, Faithful Valentine by Mucha Hancock. Too fresh (wet) to determine color yet, but is dun factored and carries a cream gene but not certain about roan or not. Faith wasn't certain about her mothering ability, so giving the new pair some privacy. More photos soon.
