🌬️ Wind Chill Warning! ❄️

With temps feeling much colder than what the thermometer shows, it’s important to remember that our pets are at risk for frostbite and hypothermia—often faster than we realize.

How to keep them safe:
• Keep outdoor time short, especially for small, senior, or short-haired pets.
• Wipe paws after walks to remove ice and salt.
• Make sure pets have a warm, dry place to sleep away from drafts.
• Never leave pets outside for extended periods—if it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them.
• Consider sweaters or booties for pets who tolerate them.

Stay safe and keep those fur-babies warm! 🐾❄️

🐴 Team Spotlight: Debbie 🎉

Debbie is one of those people who keeps everything running smoothly with her consistency, kindness, and reliability. She’s been part of our team for around 8 years (give or take!) and is someone we can always count on. She shows up, gives 100%, and does it all with genuine care for both patients and coworkers. 💪🐾

Outside of work, Debbie is a proud horse mom to Fifi, who just celebrated her 21st birthday on Cinco de Mayo! 🎂🎉🌵 Fifi is full of personality and still going strong, proving that age is just a number.

We’re so grateful to have Debbie on our team — her dedication and steady presence make a difference every single day.

🍂 Arthritis Awareness: Cold Weather and Achy Joints 🐾

As temperatures drop, many senior pets start to feel the chill in their joints. You might notice:
• Stiffness when getting up after resting
• Hesitation to jump or climb stairs
• Slower walks or reluctance to play

These can be early signs of arthritis — a common condition that can worsen as the weather gets cooler.

What You Can Do:
• Keep your pet’s bed in a warm, draft-free area
• Maintain a healthy weight to reduce joint strain
• Ask us about safe supplements or medications

🌼 Día de los Mu***os: Honoring the Pets Who’ve Crossed the Rainbow Bridge 🌼

Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead) is a time to celebrate and remember the loved ones who have passed and that includes our beloved pets.

One special way to honor them is by building an ofrenda, or altar, in their memory. You can make it as simple or as creative as you’d like. Many people include:

✨ A photo of their pet
🌸 Marigolds (the flower of remembrance)
🕯️ Candles to light their way
🍗 Their favorite treats or toy
💌 A small note or drawing

It’s a beautiful way to celebrate the joy they brought into your life and to keep their memory close.
