Earlier this year, the Miniature Donkey world lost Bob Lowenstein. I always admired so many Sunset Acres Donkeys. The first time I saw Sunset Acres Smart Derby (3x - Best of Breed - The Great Celebration) was 2008. Yep, he won Best of Breed that year. I thought he was amazing. Years later, we had the privilege to add him as a herdsire to our farm. I never met Bob Lowenstein. A few years back. I E-Mailed Bob Lowenstein to tell him we owned Derby and loved him so much. Bob was so appreciative and beyond happy that Derby was in a good home. Derby will always have a home at our farm.

This is Tangy. She had one foal several years back and lost a foal 3 years ago. Since she lost her foal, I worried about her having future foals. We got a call from a family with a little girl who owns a Min. Donkey jennet, whose best friend horse passed away. Their donkey wss grieving terribly. Tangy is now retired, to not be bred with a little girl and another jennet as her friend.
