We are based in Myakka City and will serve the surrounding area. As our community and business grows, we hope to offer a stand alone building in the near future. We hope to welcome you to the Myakka Veterinary family and we look forward to taking care of your pets and livestock.

Unfortunately we’ve got some bad news for our clients.

As many of you know Dr. Allie has been having some chronic issues with his back for a good while now.

It’s come to a point he cannot keep maintaining the hardship on his body any longer. The flipping pigs, restraining goats, field surgeries and hours in the car is not something he can maintain and stay healthy and happy as much as he loves doing it.

On another note we were hoping to get a grant this year to get a stand alone building. However, Manatee County no longer meets the criteria for a veterinary shortage and is no longer an eligible area. (Crazy we know)

We want to thank each and EVERY one of you all for your countless support and love. Dr. Allie has got to focus on getting better and healing.

We will be keeping records for the 3 years so email us if you need records on your babies.

You all have been great and we have loved meeting everyone and loving your fur babies.

Nothing to start the daily appointments off with a bucket of cuteness! 9 Rottie puppers got the seal of approval for their health certificates!

Our health certificates are $75 and that includes their exam, DHPP vaccine and a f***l test.

Our boy is here! Arrived April 13th! 7lbs 13oz

Mama is doing well and so is baby.

For all the clients who have texted and checked in on us thank you ❤️ We are over the moon and enjoying our boy.

To all our clients thank you for all the love and support over the last few months. The outpour of love has been overwhelming.

As most of our clients know our first son is due April 17th. We will be closing the office for Dr. Allie to take a paternity leave to rest and spend time with our new boy.

We will be closed April 11th-May 5th pending our sons arrival.

Due to the unpredictability of when our son will decide to make his appearance we will be seeing select EMERGENCIES only during that time frame.

If any of our current clients need medications/refills please text/call or email us.

You guys can still get ahold of us we just won’t be booking appointments during that time unless it’s absolutely necessary.

One of the hardest things we have to do as pet owners is eventually help our pets over the rainbow bridge when their physical body is tired. 🌈

We get asked often if we do these type of appointments. We absolutely do.

If your pet doesn’t need immediate/emergent assistance and needs help crossing the rainbow bridge we can make that transition seamless for you.
We can be there for and you and your pet if our schedule works with your family.

This was our girl “Willow” we had to let go 2 years ago. If you look close you can see her plate of steak resting on the tree ready for her. She had all the chocolate/candy she wanted prior to her send off❤️

We love nothing more than to do a send off at the comfort of that pets home.

can help. We will be here with you the entire time.

*if your pet is in a crisis situation and we are not available right away we will always refer you to the closest ER/urgent care.

Dr. Allie and I would like to formally announce our grand opening for LIMITED mobile veterinary services for the community. Availability will depend on our work schedule but we hope to offer full time services as we grow!

Limited services include:
Wellness checks, vaccinations, home euthanasia services, hoof trims (goat and pig), tusk trims, Coggins, Health Certificates, and minor sick patients.

We cannot offer general anesthesia, radiographs or bloodwork at this time (bloodwork very soon tho!)

Myakka Veterinary would formally like to announce our grand opening to the community. We are proud to be able to serve you all. Please welcome our Chief Veterinarian/Owner Dr. Samuel Allie!

Dr. Allie is a local here in Myakka and is excited to start seeing some new patients. The Allie Family has an extensive “funny farm” themselves that consists of goats, poultry, pigs, donkeys and horses. Dr. Allie has a special interest in poultry and particularly caprine patients. He graduated from Lincoln Memorial University and grew up on a small hobby farm in Tennessee. MVS looks forward to seeing some new furry faces at our practice.

Although we will be offering LIMITED services to the public, we are happy to offer some help in an area needing a mixed animal Veterinarian very badly.
