We know that Thanksgiving means your kitchens are packed getting ready for the family. Your pet might be begging or looking for dropped goodies that they can gobble down. Be sure to keep your pet away from the foods listed below.

If they do happen to get into something they shouldn’t please contact the Animal Emergency Hospital of the Strand, 843-445-9797. We will be open again on Monday Dec 2.

Just a quick reminder that with changes in weather that year-round heartworm prevention is recommended!! It takes one mosquito bite for heartworm disease to be transmitted. 🦟

The cooler weather is tempting but it is easier to prevent than to treat! Heartworm treatment for cats is not available and the disease has the potential to become fatal.
