I didn’t start out painting pets.
Hell, I didn’t even start out painting objects.
I’m an abstract artist by nature.
And during a different time of my life, a special child was being born into the family, and I tried my hand at realism. Kind of.

Sometimes, I paint pets.
Other times, landscapes.
There are days I’ll tackle the depths of the ocean.
Most of these paintings begin with an abstract vision. Something grabs my attention and I begin there. I play the game of “Let’s see where this goes…”

Today, my brain feels…hopefully turbulent? Or at least that’s what I’m getting from whatever I’ve started here.

Let’s see where this goes.

Painting is a process, and each process differs from pet to pet. Long haired, short haired, wire haired, curly coats, puffy coats, and all the differences that make your pet so unique are what make each painting unique as well!
Pictured below is the most teddybear of all Pomeranians, Duncan, with his foxy-faced brother, Ralph. I had so much fun painting these for a friend so she can always have her boys with her.
