Remember Punkin? She’s Zoe now. I got to see, snuggle and give one of my (Gia’s) puppies today! She is as adorable as I thought she’d be! The sweetest thing too! Did so good for her first haircut! 😍
First off, this technique is not recommended for inexperienced groomers.
Secondly, this puppy did really good for his first grooming except for getting the back legs matting shaved off. He was matted all over but these ones were the tightest and probably were the most painful ones, you can see some bruising on his legs. He is muzzled because he was trying to bite the clippers not me, which is very dangerous. He didn’t understand that it was the matting hurting him, not the clippers.
Thirdly, it may appear like I’m man handling him but I assure you, I’m not. I am keeping him safe, training him what he can and cannot do on the grooming table but making it so I can get these off of him without cutting him. You know those posts you see on Facebook about dogs getting huge cuts from groomers. Most probably looked like this for their appointment.
I think this was a case of matting started and the owner didn’t know what to do with them and it took several weeks to get into me. 😓
I completed him safely, without injuring him at all. After this video ended, I removed the muzzle and he gave so many kisses while I gave him loves and a body massage. 💕
If you were in today....then you know. Thank you all for your patience today! It was a busy one!
Stay tuned for this #tuesdaytransformation
