** Traffic Alert TODAY (July 3) **
Today is the the God and Country Festival, including the annual Fireworks show AND it’s Idaho’s Birthday!
The celebration will happen tonight at the Ford Idaho Center.
💥 Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
💥 Admission is FREE
💥The fireworks start around dusk
💥 Lots of people gather around the perimeter of the venue to see the fireworks, so traffic congestion will be more than those in attendance
💥 Expect traffic congestion and delays
💥 Be patient and nice to each other
💥 Don’t call 911 unless you have an emergency - our dispatchers are aware of the traffic congestion, especially after the show
💥 If there is someone directing traffic, follow their instruction
💥 If you aren’t interested in the event, we suggest you plan ahead and avoid the area

New girl, Twiggy, was a stray at a rural shelter. She's about 18 months old and weight estimated at 36 pounds. Twig is a lovely smooth coat border collie, deep red in color. Good with other dogs, crate and house trained, rides well in the car. Sponsored by Red Top Kennel and Patrick Shannahan. Thank you, Patrick!

Welcome baby girl, Prairie! Prairie comes to us from the Burley Animal Shelter. She is an approximately 12 week old Australian cattle dog blend. Prairie loves people and is good with other dogs. She is cautious about cats. Good girrl.

We are looking for information on any of these dogs that have been rescued. We are working in conjunction with the Elmore County Sheriff's Department. Someone, somewhere had to have seen something! No way you can dump 11 pups and their momma over a 90 mile area without someone seeing something!!! Check your cameras if you live in any of the areas posted on pictures. These pups have been found and are all safe! If you know anything please message me(Cally Dennis) or Le Smith!

Welcome Jane! She isn't going to work cattle so she's with us looking for a companion home. About 40 pounds, 1 year of age, okay with other dogs, crate trained, appears to be housetrained, said to be okay with young children and didn't bother the cats at the cattle ranch. Has had her first bath!

Happy Holidays from adoptable Darby!

Quick facts:
-VERY social with people (including kids!!)
-Loves other dogs
-Can be a bit annoying to other dogs at times (in an energetic, young dog way) but she takes corrections well and isn’t dominant at all
-Crate trained in the house and car (clean and quiet)
-Travels well (easily adapts to new environments)
-VERY biddable
-Environmentally sound
-Good with all grooming handling
-Decent house manners with supervision
-Medium toy and food drive (I do not believe she had much/any training or even play experience prior to coming to me but she learns FAST and I believe both her food and toy drive will continue to improve- she will never be over the top though)
-High energy and is a complete spaz 🤣 (but does fine with off days)
-Loves hiking, swimming (retrieves a toy and will jump off a dock!!), and would be a great scent work or agility prospect!
-Intro to birch and tunnels, picked both up fast!
-Will chase cats/small prey animals (I do believe this is improvable with the right training)
-Good around horses and cattle with supervision
-Not a bite sport candidate

Whoever adopts Darby is eligible to receive 50% off 6 scent work lessons with Scentsational K9 Training, 50% off of six 30 minute pool rentals at Boise K9 Fitness and Rehab, and 50% off 6 agility lessons with Projekt Performance (All discounts were generously donated by the respective businesses 😁).

Finally, Darby’s foster mom would love the opportunity to continue seeing her on occasion, and is offering **discounted boarding to her new adopter for life**.
