Some night time sweetness. I was going to do pictures today but these babies need a bath. They have started to get into mom’s food a bunch which means they get messy. Our dogs always get raw/ wet food on top of their kibble along with supplements and salmon oil. So it can be very messy. The pups are all going to be started on mush here tomorrow! Our final litter of the year. This is another extra special litter. I mentioned at the beginning of this year Magic had some exciting things planned and well here we are!! This is a cross my friend Kylie who I show/ travel with regularly have talked about for a long time. The timing all worked out perfectly as Mega has been stating with us for a while. Mega is a super sweet boy who Dakota and I have both shown. He has done great things in his show career but is also an amazing pet. We are very excited about these sweet babies! I can’t thank Kylie enough for letting me do this cross. As always, everyone is on hold till final evaluations/ health exams, our picks then our list.

As the year comes to an end it’s time to officially announce the last litters of the year!! This cross was one I had imagined for a couple years now. I wasn’t going to do it this go as Esther was a few weeks shy of 2 when the cross happened. She of course had all her prelims done and health testing. However people can be crazy. Anyways- after talking with some breeders I highly respect and look up too we all agreed I should just do it. So born on Esther’s ( Andi x Risk) 2nd birthday is Job’s final litter. I thank God everyday I did this cross. These babies are extra special. Esther is an amazing mom as well. Time to officially introduce you all to Merry x Risk 2.0 babies!!! These chunks are growing up so quick! They are two weeks old today! Eyes are opening, they are moving around, eating and sleeping non stop! I just love them all! This is a repeat cross ( hence the 2.0). This lil lady is so beyond special! I say it all the time color is the last thing we look at when holding back. That doesn’t mean we are not human and we don’t have something we love. For me I love unique and minimals ( minimal Merle’s like her, minimal white, etc.) this girl is so stinking cool!!!

I hope you all are having the best Christmas! I know we are! We have had family in town this week and have been unplugged, baking a ton of goodies and food as well as playing a lot of games and just family time. Of course we have our normal chores and boarding dogs here as well so they have all took priority this week! ❤️

Merry Christmas everyone!! We are welcoming our final litter of 2024 as we speak!! Best Christmas present ever! This litter has been a long time in the making and we are so incredibly excited about it. It’s possible mama is all done but also possible she may not be. Everyone is doing great. We do have one itsy bitsy lil girl but she is a lil fighter. She could use the extra prayers tho because she is extremely tiny ( 2.8 oz vs her 13.6 oz brother). ❤️🙏🏼as you guys know we always share the good, the bad, the ugly, the sad and the joyous things! Some morning sweetness. All the kiddos are doing great around here. Getting so big!! We have been a little quiet as we have family in town this week. So we haven’t been online/ on our phones much at all. I actually plug my phone in at night and it still has 80% battery! Normally I have to charge my phone a few times a day! The Christmas boarding season has begun…starting a few days ago. Tomorrow we get a bunch more coming in and we just absolutely love it. These guys have all been boarding with us for years and it means the world to us. All our boarding dogs are boarded in our home. They are apart of our family. Sleep on our couch, sleep on the dog beds we have or the floor. They all play together and get along great. Most of these guys board together a lot so it’s always like old friends catching up.They get lots of love and play. They are always around our old retired kiddos and our up and comers as well. They get to go play in the fields when it’s not dumping rain. Mainly we board all our past pups/ retired dogs but we also board their other family members and we have been referred to so many families over the years that we bring in other dogs like a Great Dane that is coming in tomorrow. We just love this whole side to what we do and we do not talk about it enough. Just so thankful for our families. www.wanderingacresranch.com

We still have these two sweet girls looking for their homes. They are rescues. We have brought them up to date on medical. Started on leash training. Has done well in the house . Crate trained. Great with our kid and other animals. They are lab x herding mix. Again- rescues. I know a lot of people want sweet pups at a low cost and these are the best you will ever get from us. I can’t believe nobody wants them 😅 please- message with questions.

This handsome boy is getting his final grooming with us as he is headed to his new family here in just a little bit!! I wanted to post this and show you guys how well adjusted our pups are. As getting groomed is something that is done weekly here from the time they are just a few weeks old. We make it no big deal and they do as well. As you can see there is no leash/ collar on this guy he is just sitting here nice and calmly getting blown out. 😁

Heifer on her first hike yesterday and really first time off the farm ( besides moving back to our old place and going to the vet.) This js all a brand new experience and environment for her and she didn’t skip a beat. Recall on point, great manners, nice and loose on the leash when she was on one, friendly and respectful to people. Fact for you guys every moment you are with your dog is a training moment. It doesn’t have to be a serious focused thing all the time. Make it fun. Switch up what you are doing. Another thing… if you do not trust your dog it’s not going to trust you 😉.

Welcome to our page! We are still working on building this site so bear with us. We breed Australian Shepherds. Our goal is to have well rounded family dogs, working dogs and dogs that do well in the show ring. We are striving to better this breed by breeding to standard and above. We have AKC, ASDR and IMASC Australian Shepherds. Most of our dogs are tripled registered some are just ASDR. We are extremely picky about our breeding stock that we bring into our program. Just the same as what we breed for is what we want to bring in. Temperament is huge. We do not allow aggressive dogs ( or bloodlines) into our program. With Aussies there are different drive levels : low- High. We have all levels here but even with our high drive dogs they have an off switch. Our dogs are great with working all day on our farm or they are happy to sleep and watch netflix. Everyone is well socialized with both people and other animals from a young age. We will continue to add on to our page so check back!
