This sweet girl is in need of a foster home. She was surrendered to DuPage County Animal Services because her owners are leaving the country. Her name is Dot, and she is having difficulty settling in at the shelter. She is not a fan of human interaction and prefers to be her own bun. Dot will be more comfortable in a home with an experienced rabbit parent or foster that understands her needs.

Nori is ready to move onto her forever home. This cutie is like a puppy bunny: she loves people, enjoys pets and will follow you from room to room just to see what you are up to. Nori is great with her litter box, and she is super friendly. She may even want a bun friend. She will hop, binky, and flop her way into your heart.

Have you ever wanted to foster a rabbit or find out what it's like to have a house rabbit? Bunnies United Network is looking for volunteers to foster a rabbit.

Since Easter (April 20) over 60 rabbits have been rescued in the Chicagoland area. Field rescuers go out and find the rabbits once they are notified that there is a domestic rabbit outdoors. BUN is one of many rescues that provides medical care and a foster home for rescued rabbits. We cannot continue to provide for these rabbits without volunteer fosters.

As a foster we provide you with all the supplies you need (hay, litter boxes, toys, pellets, exercise pens, etc.). We will help you set up and rabbit proof a space for your foster rabbit.

Update: Bunny has been rescued and is safe and cool indoors. Thank you to all who shared our post! 🐰

Join the rescue mission! A lone baby bunny, just a few months old, needs our help to safety. The challenging terrain requires a collaborative effort from volunteers to secure the area and guide him to freedom. We've made two attempts so far, but with more people power, we can make it happen!

If you're in the area or willing to drive a bit, please consider meeting us at Merritt Prairie Forest Preserve in De Kalb County on Saturday, July 26, at 7:00 a.m.

We would like to provide an update on our newest foster, Dwight. Dwight has heart disease and he was in need of an ultrasound to evaluate his current condition. Many of our supporters generously donated to allow Dwight to be seen be the wonderful doctors at Chicago Exotics Animal Hospital.

We are happy to say that Dwight’s heart disease does not appear to need further intervention nor additional medications at this time. Dwight will continue to be a happy-go-lucky floof living with his adorable bun wife, Cricket, at his side.

Next goal for Dwight and Cricket is to find their forever home.

Thank you to the vets and vet assistants at Chicago Exotics Animal Hospital and to everyone who donated to help Dwight.

We would like to thank all those who have generously donated to Dwight's Medical Fund. We will be able to get Dwight the ultrasound and medical care he needs. Dwight and Cricket will soon leave DuPage County Animal Services and be placed into a foster home. We will keep everyone updated on Dwight and Cricket.

Good morning! Yesterday we introduced you to Dwight, an angora/lionhead rabbit who needs our help. Dwight needs an ultrasound to determine the extent of his heart disease. This cute lop here is Cricket, Dwight’s bunwife. Cricket is counting on BUN to get her husbun the medical care he needs.

This cutie is named Dwight. He is currently at Dupage County Animal Services waiting for a rescue to pull him. Dwight has high blood pressure and heart disease that is managed with medication, but he needs an ultrasound of his heart to determine the extent of his heart disease.

BUN would like to get Dwight the ultrasound that he needs, but we need your help. An ultrasound and medications for Dwight can only be possible with donations and the generosity of others.
