On the road yesterday and missed that it was National Dog Day. But isn’t everyday a celebration of sharing our lives with these special canines! ❤️

I felt so helpless as I was pulling a trailer with a full truck and unable to help.

Wrapping up our “on the road vending” events.

Have you written a check lately?

Times have changed! We have hackers and check washers. Crazy! Although it’s not something “new”, it’s just sad that it still goes on.

Well today was my turn. I’ve never had trouble until now. To share yet not bore you with details, this is what transpired. I wrote a check for medical equipment, $155.00. When the check cleared it had changed to an amount of $4,000 made out to an individual!! Which overdrew my account! Surprise!

It’s just not safe anymore. I’m going to have to make some changes.

Did you know that years ago I gathered a group of like minded friends to brainstorm for a phrase fitting of Twisted Bliss?

Yep that’s how it started!

We actually came up with about 120 different phrase, broke it down to 19 and then poled to find the one we use today!

WLTM sums up tugging perfectly because you do work less when you tug more!

Did you know that we originally had 3 different designs before settling on the one we have today?
The current one with its Suessy style font emphasizes playfulness! It’s perfect! ❤️

Many thanks to my friends for helping me decide and my sister Mary for her perfect design.

So here’s what I have for you today! I have 12 WLTM tugs (Ready to Ship) up for sale! Each is unique! There are two that even have an original PD Raspberry!! Yes, no kidding!!

Tip Tuesday

Customer, “I’m picking up my new puppy this week. How and what kind of tugs do I need to start with?”

Our advice with a new puppy, since you’re not sure what the puppy likes yet, is to ask the breeder if your puppy has shown interest in anything in particular in their play area. If there were tugs available to them or other items like fleece, faux or real fur. Rubber toys, balls or items that make noise. This type of information can give you a baseline to work with.

Once you know the materials, now I can help you with a tug suggestion.

For a new puppy I suggest a long tug or chaser to build drive to you and reinforce recalls. The game of chase is very reinforcing and a great way to enjoy your time together!

I also suggest a short tug for getting up close, rewarding retrieve to hand, and working different surfaces.

Two tugs are a great way to start building a solid relationship with your new puppy.

You also need to consider the size of your puppy …. Little dogs, longer chasers and shorter short tugs. A finger loop handle is also a recommendation I have made for the “littles”.

As you know tugs are a great way to build a work/play relationship with your puppy.

I hope this information is helpful to anyone new to tugging and about to bring that new pup home.
