Very excited about this healthy litter of 7 with no deformities or peanuts out of an unnamed opal brood doe and Carpenter Farm’s Locked and Loaded a nice rew herd buck!

I have several nice Netherland Dwarfs available that I might could take to the Wichita Falls Tx show this weekend if pre sold before hand. They are mostly bucks that are proven and produce nice babies that show well and I have a few jr bucks that have show potential.

I do not know who wrote this to credit them, but I know my show rabbit friends feel this in their soul!

RABBIT LAW (like Murphy's Law)

1. A doe is always a doe, until she isn't, and vice versa (thanks s*x-change fairy)
2. "Downsizing" your herd means selling 2 rabbits and buying 4 more.
3. A doe will always wait until you're at your wits end before finally having kits.
4. The doe that builds the nicest nest is the most likely to kindle on the wire.
5. The accidental matings always result in a huge litter while the planned matings give you nothing.
6. If in doubt, add ACV to the water. If ACV doesn't solve the problem, nothing will.
7. Your pick is always the opposite s*x to what you want/need.
8. When you're cages are maxed out is when you'll have the best, most awesome kit you've ever had, with no grow out pen for it.
9. The biggest nest will hold the smallest number of kits.
10. The color that you have the most of is the one that won't sell.
11. You always find the best deal when you have full cages. This is when you end up having rabbits living in dog carriers, playpens or bathtubs until you can whip up more cages
12. Always round up when telling your spouse how many you have because one day they will count...usually the day you secretly bought 2 more rabbits.
13. If there is a will there is a way for rabbits to escape from their cage, which is when good latches come in handy.
14. When choosing which kit to keep, I live by the mantra "if in doubt, grow it out"
15. They're not dead until they're warm and dead.
16. Always wear a bra - you never know when you'll need it.
17. Rabbits only "breed like rabbits" when it's inconvenient.
18. Test breedings you don't really plan on keeping anything from are always the biggest litters.
19. If you breed to your cage space, only 1/4-1/2 of your does will catch, leaving you with space in the grow out pens. On the other hand, when you breed with that failure rate in mind, EVERY doe will catch and all your litters will be above average in numbers.
20. If you need does, you will get all wonderful bucks.
21. They always wait until the coldest or hottest possible day to kindle.
22. They never accidentally fall out of the cage unless there's a hungry dog at your feet.
23. The day you have errands to run is the day you have kits warming in your bra and end up with a squeaking shirt.
24. As soon as you send in the entry fees for the most important show, every rabbit entered will start molting.
25. There is a s*x change fairy (aka gender fairy) that shows up when you think you have it all figured out.
26. Kits and grow outs don't count in the head count; only the adult breeders do.
27. When people want to buy rabbits, none of your does will have babies. When you have no one buying, it's like the baby boom, and bam, you have 300 babies.
28. The sweetest rabbit in one breeders barn means the biggest pain in the butt in yours.
29. Always keep your mouth closed when tending to your buck's cage - he has impeccable timing and aim when spraying.
30. The meanest does have the largest litters and are the best mothers.
31. No matter what breed you're looking for, no one in your area has them...until you pay for transport from the other side of the country.
32. All rabbits breed like rabbits...except your rabbits; they just cuddle.
33. Your nose will itch when your hands are covered in rabbit fur.
34. When you get a rabbit that was bred 1-2 weeks ago, give her a nest box immediately.
