And our founder Susan had battled against so many health issues. This giving Tuesday, we ask you to please give from the heart, help us eliminate our current vet bills, have a stock of food for the holidays instead of always having to go out for more, re-purchase cat trees and toys and beds. We want to give a huge thank you to our local news NBC2 for running our story. ♥️When donations are low, CMP is funded completely out of pocket by our founders. We want to acknowledge that while you may be seeing some brands of cat food still on the shelves, CMP may not be able to afford that brand at this time, or, may not be a good choice for a rescue with over 200 felines. ( for example, indivual serving size cans are a real hassle for community feeding.) Multi-cat size cans are most helpful.

🚨🚨Susan, our founder, wants you all to know the crisis with the pet food shortage is seriously effecting CMP. We are having an extremely difficult time finding enough food. We need both DRY and CANNED cat foods. It doesn’t need to be a high quality brand, anything is important right now. We fed cats awaiting adoption, cats in our Forever Camper sanctuary lifestyle, and TNR’d community felines DAILY. We go through roughly 200 pounds of dry food for community felines weekly. Your monetary and food donations now are more important than ever during this extremely critical time. 🚨🚨

🚨Donation drop off bins are located inside Pet Supermarket and select Petsmart (corner of 951 and 41 East trail) locations in Naples Florida.  You can drop off donated food, litter, and other items in these bins. 

Camp Many Paws is a 100% donation dependent 501c3 charitable nonprofit, whose mission is to reduce the number of felines born without homes in Collier County, through TrapNeuter/Release and Adoption programs. We use a mix of foster homes and sanctuary homes, in collaberation with Pet Supermarket and PetSmart Adoption Centers, to find out kitties their forever homes.

Getting to Know You: Meet JAX 😻

Jax is an awesome cat! He was VERY shy when he came to the shelter and it takes him longer than most to warm up to new people and situations, but once he does he is the most affectionate cat! When he lived in my office, he greeted me every morning by jumping onto my desk, giving me a gentle head bump and then licking the tip of my nose. He likes to snuggle and was content to sit in my lap while I worked.

When he met Sylus, another office cat, he was off and running. He loves other cats! He followed the other office kitty around all day, every day. If Sylus took a nap, Jax contentedly napped in a chair next to him. He happily shared his water, food, and litter with any cat or kitten that wandered into the office.

I miss having him in my office and if my dog wasn’t terrified by cats, he would already be adopted…by me! This boy deserves the best home and family we can find for him. ~ Jax's office mate, Kellie

Last night, Gary, one of our founders and Susan’s husband, was out buying cat food and going to feed TNR cats. As he turned went to turn onto Bayshore Drive, a deranged man jumped onto the hood on his car, and then smashed his windshield. He then got off and went to the drivers side of the car. Unfortunately Gary’s windows were down and, stunned, he didn’t put them up in time. The man assaulted Gary through the window, punching him repeatedly. Gary had to drive off a bit to get away from the assault, which scared the man off. Immediately the people in the cars behind Gary raced to his aid and stayed while police came as witnesses to this assault. This morning the police called to say they have the assailant under arrest.
The windshield is almost caved in, and is not drivable in that condition. Unfortunately the kitties had to go without feedings as Susan’s car is undergoing diagnosis for an issue that will hopefully be covered by warranty. We have a mobile appointment to get the windshield repaired on Thursday.

Gary is in a lot of pain and definitely could use your well wishes and prayers. Susan also suffered a cracked rib recently after a spill off a ladder. Please keep us in your thoughts.
