These two girls have taken two of Ravenwood Acres horses to fair and proven that they are amazing riders and horsewomen with having to take care of them all week. I am Extremely proud of how they have done and thought about the horse's well being 1st before the ribbon! Both are coming home with a rainbow of colors to hang up!

After all that rain fall we only have this small patch wet for the entire 10 acres even the arena is good!! Lessons on for tomorrow!

What a great show yesterday each of these girls did a great job. I can totally see how much they have learned since the last show. At times they were frustrated or scared but all went in and looked great with each of their very safe horses( #1 priority). What a fun day we all had!

Took some of my barn kids and lesson kids to a show today..for some it was their first show for others it was a new horse and for even one horse it was his first show ever! They all took such great care of their horse for the day(brushing, giving breaks, making sure they had food and water breaks) and placed so well and we all had tons of fun. I am so proud of each and every one of you ❤ 🐎

What if we asked the old horse in heaven about the best moments of his life? Do you think he would talk about the ribbons he won or the points he earned? No. He would talk about the hours you spent grazing him and playing with his mane. He would talk about your kind hands. He would talk about the sound of your car when you pulled up to the barn, knowing you had a bag of carrots for him. He would talk about the laughter of the child who trotted for the first time on him. He would talk about how their little hands gave such gentle pets on his nose. He would talk about the times you came out in the middle of a snow storm to make sure he was okay. He would talk about the time you stayed up all night with him when he was sick and scared and confused. He would talk about the times you cried on his shoulder, and while he didn’t know why, he understood. He would talk about galloping through green pastures and playing with his friends. He would talk about naps in the sun. And finally, he would talk about when he was hurting so much in this earthly existence, you set him free. He knows the decision literally broke your heart in half, but his pain was over and he will greet you again when it is time. Cherish the small moments with your horses. They are what he remembers. 💙

The long awaited post some of you have been watching for. We think this was a meant to be situation from above that was not planned at all. This is a horse we use to know and was sold to someone we don't know. The owners that we don't know found us and asked us if we would like her. So we jumped on board as we think this is her sign of where she wants to be for rest of her life. She isn't the top winning horse, or the spring chicken, and to easy of a ride for my kids but she is the pony you can put anyone on, use for lessons,, is safe and the one you talk about for years to come..so welcome home Lady Bug, new name - new start!! And she remembered here as soon soon as she was off the trailer..she pulled Ellie to her old stall and said hi to all the horses with no issues(they remembered her too)! She use to always whiney at us when we would see her at shows, at that time I use to tell Dennis wish I could buy her..❤
