Three special pups got their Holiday groom today.

One is elderly, another is a rescue, and the third has an auto-immune condition that damages her skin 😔 (I wouldn't shave a healthy pomerian, but it's what's best for her.)

All are as sweet as can be and are looking extra cute for Santa!

Roxys face is normally longish and square, so we'll have to grow out the muzzle again to get it back to shape, but she is a cutie-pie regardless!

I got to groom a puppy today!

For puppies, the goal is a stress free introduction to grooming where we just do the basics:
- bath and blowdry
- eye trim
- paw pads and sanitary areas shaved
- nails trimmed
- feet rounded

Bruno was a very sweet puppy, and hopefully with regular grooming will become a table-sitting pro like my older pups today!

We were out of town last week due to the death of my grandmother-in-law, but we are back today and getting everyone ready for Santa.

Bella came to me half-shaven. Her last groomer wasn't able to finish, and they suggested she try elsewhere. I was elsewhere!

She is 17, mostly blind, wobbly on her feet, and has all the lumps and bumps that come with time.

These grooms arent about looking cute, but mom was so surprised and happy to see her baby have a cute face! She said it was the best she has looked in a long time!

These two are some of my most well behaved pups!

Their parents did the right thing and started grooming appointments as puppies and kept it up every 4-6 weeks! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

When I brought her back inside, she kept jumping in my arms and settled right in to lay on my shoulder 🥰

These two sweet babies got their hair cut today.

The white one has seizures when stressed, so we were extra slow and gentle - especially for the dryer. She didn't want any treats when we were finished, she just wanted cuddles.

The darker one didn't want cuddles, he just wanted treats and to play!

They compliment each other so well! ☯️

Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie!

Louie is a 15 and a half year old Jack Russel!

He has arthritis and isn't always steady on his feet. I covered the table in soft towels and encouraged him to lie down for most of the groom... but he would not lay down! The most he would relax was a sit. For nails, I used a belly band which helps support and take some weight of his feet.

When talking to his human I learned that he was a rescue and that she had noticed he doesn't lay down around people, among other quirks.

Always on guard, but a fighter to the end 💙

Finally back on the road!

My old truck broke down in the middle of the road. A very kind retired couple towed me out of the road, one towing while the other helped direct traffic. I later sent them an edible arrangement and now they say we are family and to come back to visit. 💙🩵💙

It was a stressful 2 days trying to get a truck rental. Online they said they required all these documents and the address had to match on all of them. We had moved and didn't update everything. Well, we get there after scrambling for two days over our documents and they don't even ask for them! 😂

I'm thankful to be back to work but nervous about this big truck! 😬

To be honest, Necee isnt a fan of me. Just like people, you can't expect every dog to be your best friend 🥲

But, she is a very sweet girl who tolerates me very well 😆

Destiny and her dad are some of my oldest clients - I was grooming Destiny in their bathroom before my trailer was built!

I last groomed Destiny the day I lost my Papaw, and she and her dad were such a comfort to me when I was grieving.

I love this sweet girl 💙🩵💙

This gentleman lives at a retirement community with his mom. He is known by all 💙 Everyone who passes stops to get some pets, but he stays laser focused on the elevator that will bring mom back!
