WHAT IS A GUARDIAN HOME?

The guardian program allows us to grow our program and continue to better our breeds, without sacrificing any of our dogs happiness and need for love and attention. While we want to keep all of our dogs with us, we understand that they will be happier with more one on one attention than we can give them.

As a guardian home, you are the permanent home for one of our breeding dogs while they are in our program. Once they are retired (and spayed/neutered at our expense), full ownership transfers to the guardian family and they get to keep the dog forever.

Becoming a Guardian Home gives you the opportunity to have one of our puppies or young adults as a family pet while he or she remains in our program at no upfront cost to you!

By offering the guardian program, we are able to ensure that our dogs get to live the best possible lives in a loving, caring home where they receive as much one on one attention as possible.

DOES IT COST TO BECOME A GUARDIAN?

No, you will receive a top quality dog that has been hand selected by us to remain in our program at no upfront cost!

WHAT EXPENSES ARE GUARDIAN FAMILIES RESPONSIBLE FOR?

Guardians are responsible for all “regular” dog care including providing food, treats, toys, etc. They are also responsible for normal vet care that is not breeding related. The dog must be kept UTD on all shots, flea and tick meds, and heartworm meds at guardians expense.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A GUARDIAN HOME?

Teach basic commands such as sit, stay, lay-down, “no”, quiet, and leave it as well as how to walk politely on a leash

Must be willing and able to train using positive reinforcement only

Potty train and crate train the dog by 9 months of age if they are not already

Keep the dog as an indoor family pet and never allow them to live outside

Keep the dog off of the ground where other dogs frequent (dog parks, pet stores, etc) and away from unknown dogs until the dog is fully vaccinated (around 16 weeks)

Be willing and able to socialize the dog with other dogs as well as people

Provide adequate exercise and mental stimulation

Must be able to communicate, cooperate, and coordinate with the breeder effectively

Contact the breeder in the event of any serious illness or accident

You may not be a guardian home for a different breeder (with the same breeds) while participating in our program

Fenced in yard is preferred, but not required

WHAT IS THE BREEDER RESPONSIBLE FOR?

Provide guardian family with a healthy dog at no cost

Pay for health testing

Pay for all breeding related expenses (ie progesterone testing, semen collection, etc)

Teaching the guardian family how to detect a heat cycle and how to care for a pregnant dog if they don’t already know

Pay for the spay/neuter upon retirement

Provide lifetime support for the dog

Always be willing to take the dog back if the guardian family can no longer care for them please message us for more details ❤️🐾❤️

Want a Frenchie for 2k or less? Read!

Listen.... I know we all have have budgets that we want to stick to but this is NOT the breed to go cheap on. It is VERY expensive to breed Frenchies responsibly so if you see one for less than 2 k, it is most likely a scam or a breeder who has not taken the proper steps to ensure they have healthy pups. PLEASE do your research, save money for a well-bred pup, and know if it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is.

Here is some information to help you understand what all goes into breeding:

DID YOU KNOW?

• Almost all French Bulldogs have to be artificially inseminated.

• They also need to have c-sections.

• Since they have to be artificially inseminated and have a c-section, breeders have to do progesterone testing as well to time everything just right.

• Good breeders also DNA and health test their dogs to ensure they are top quality and will not pass on any genetic diseases or other problems to their puppies.

• Most French Bulldogs have small litters (3-5 usually).

• Sometimes they will only have 1 puppy!

Remember you get what you pay for. If someone is offering a Frenchie for much less money, it's a good possibility that it is either a scam or that puppy might not be the very healthy.

HERE'S A BREAKDOWN OF SOME COSTS

DNA genetic testing - About $300

Health Screening - $200-$500

Stud Fee - $1000-$5000 or more depending on quality and color of stud

Progesterone tests - About -$80- $120 each (Usually need about 3-6)

​Artificial Insemination (Depends on type) - $150-$750

​C-section - $1500-$4500 (The high end would be after hours emergency vet)

​Whelping supplies - $500 and up

​Puppy health check and vaccinations - $100 each

​Puppy microchips - $40 each

Puppy Health Certificate if going out of state - $80 each

**These costs don't even include time off work, incubator, whelping pen, cleaning supplies, emergencies that could come up with mom or pups, food for mom, supplements, and a million other things that could happen along the way.

When you get your 8 week old puppies, please keep these images in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

When you're letting your puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.
*Many Bones are not fully fused until 13mo of age.

I gratefully and somberly report that Bourbon has found his forever family. He will have an amazing life with his new family. I wish it was us but this is what’s best for our beautiful little boy.

Due to some personal issues that have come up I’m CONSIDERING selling bourbon. He is incredibly well mannered, very calm and mellow. I kept him because he is extremely special. Dogs like him are rare. That said, if you are looking for the perfect little boy, message me. You won’t be disappointed.
