Please share this dog in Macon, GA. FIVE years she's been waiting!

So how long do I have to sit here and wait? 5 years has been a long time... I have seen others find families that are okay with just one dog... so where is mine? Cassie is 6 years old spent most her life at the rescue. Help us find her a home. Make a difference. Bassett mix.

This beautiful girl and I start a new training class tonight! We're doing beginner again because she needs so much work on impulse control that I figure the more social interactions, the better. We'll follow it up with an immediate intermediate. Here's to hoping Pipey da Pittie finds her chill button one day!

Can anyone in Nashville foster this sweet, toothless wonder?

Meet Ms. Toothless Wonder. She has been stuck in a shelter in North Carolina because she is rescue pull only. No one came to her rescue so Dogs Deserve Better stepped up. We have just gotten approved and we are pulling her tomorrow. She is going to be transported from Raleigh North Carolina to Nashville Tennessee in a few days so I am asking for donations to support gas and the hotel for the transporter. She will be up for adoption but not for a little while. She has no teeth and her tongue always hangs out!

UPDATE: Phoebe has come home. She is panting and drooling as it's 102 degrees here but she ate some canned food and took her medicine. I will be watching her for a few hours before deciding to bring her into a vet. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS.

PRAYER REQUEST: Phoebe wandered off this morning. Please pray she is protected and returns home safely.

Hey Guys! Pipey started breaking out in hives right after her vaccines so I thought that was the cause. It's a week later now and they're back. Any idea what could be causing this? They didn't seem to bother her at all initially but she's starting to itch.

Pipey asked for her walk this morning! So she's back to herself.

It was an eventful one!

A fluffy little dog with a gimp leg followed us almost all the way home. In hindsight, I should have taken him in the house and given him a bath then had him picked up but that's not how it went. We walked him back to where I thought he lived (why I brought him back) and she came out and told me where he lived - lots of dogs left outside in a muddy mess. Animal control comes, another neighbor comes over, and we left.

At another house, a couple small dogs run out barking at Piper, they all meet, and the owner asks if we want to meet her Rottweiler. He's 8 years old and was very excited to meet Piper (and she was as well).

We finally made it home and between all the new people and dogs she met, she's down for a long nap.

I ran by the house with the escapee dogs and he was building something (hopefully to mend the fence). I already told God if that dog follows us again I'll take care if him. Small dogs, especially, are usually easier to adopt out.

Then I find a finch that can't fly so I go in the house to find a shoebox. I bring it out to the finch to have him hop inside and he flew off into a fenced yard. There's something off with him but maybe he's just dazed from hitting a window or a cat.

Piper likes to move to the head of the bed after I fall asleep. That pillow had my head on it. 😂 I think it's because my cat, Cole, sleeps up there.

Pipey da Pittie Pupdate: She's much more herself! She went outside to protect her palace, came in to show the vacuum cleaner who's boss, gave me some kisses, and invited me to play with her duck. 👍

I brought Pipey to McDonald's for a little treat! I just got her to a place where she didn't tremble in the car and want to make sure she associates car rides with good things. She loved it. (and like a good sister she saved some for the kitties too)

Piper is soooooo sad about the vet visit yesterday. She didn't want her kong last night and I had to coax her out of my room for breakfast. She didn't want to do anything outside except for her "jobs" and after coming inside, she just went right back into my bed. My high-energy, attention-seeking, playful pup is spending the day in bed I guess.

Hi Guys! Phoebe and Piper went to the vet together today. It's curbside so I couldn't go in with them but was glad they had eachother (Cole goes alone because he's so laid back). Phoebe just needed her T4 (hyperthyroidism) and Piper had her yearly. I had them check out a bump on her hind leg in case it's a mast cell. They weren't able to extract much so just keeping an eye on it for now.

In regards to her gait/forelimbs, the vet thinks it's just the way she's built (kind of like a bulldog) - she kind of swings her legs out and around. That means the wobbles are just that biceps tendon acting up. They did a bunch of manual checks for pain and neurological stuff - other vets have done the same. I'm doubling down on massage, the assisi loop, and prayers to try and get her healed up.

LUNA (PRALINE) - ID

Luna is a sweet, chunky pibble who has not had good luck in her life. She hasn't always been given a safe and secure environment, or proper boundaries and training. She's had multiple homes in the last few years, and has been at PACC more than once.

Despite the tumult and insecurity she's faced, Luna is a lover. This volunteer favorite loves car rides, and has been housebroken and crate trained in her former homes. She enjoys walks (and could use more of them as she seems to have gained a few more pounds every time she's returned to the shelter).

Luna also loves snuggling and sleeping in bed with her person. With the right person - a dog savvy person who will keep her safe in a secure home and secure yard and will work with her on training - Luna will be an amazing family member. In fact, one of her former owners described her as "the perfect dog". Luna deserves a chance to be that again.

Her needs are few - no other pets in the household and no very young children who don't yet know how to respectfully interact with a pet.

I am a spayed female, fawn and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Mastiff.

I weigh approximately 90.00 lbs.

The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old.

Luna needs to leave the shelter by 8/10/20. She is available for rescue only, and is not available for adoption or foster through PACC.

This sweet girl is still having problems with her legs. The specialist I took her to thinks it's her bicep tendon acting up and for awhile I accepted that. She's going to a new regular vet (we've moved) and I'm hoping for some new answers but it is what it is so, I just try to manage it.

Pipey went for a short walk this AM. We now live 2 blocks from a park with lots of green grass that she loves to roll around in every morning. Yesterday it was fresh-cut so she came home with green paws and a green spotted belly.

Today, she met 3 men: one she sat for, waiting to be pet, but I was half asleep so didn't tell him it's what she wanted (c'mon, Mom) and the other 2 had face masks on. She wasn't a fan. They were also sitting on a fence and much higher up than her so thinking that might have been it.

Now, she's chewing on random cardboard and will pass out in just a few. She's calmed down soooo much and is a total sweetheart.

This poor Angel lives inside for most of the time but often is outside on a chain. The owners do the best they can and love her to death and are willing to let us put in a fence. These are the type of owners that we want to support. Those that bring in their animals for most of the day, but let them outside for some fresh air. Unfortunately they cannot afford fence but that's where we step in and help. I'm asking for donations to get this fence built for them. We already have someone putting it together for us for free. Each 10x10 panel is $200 and getting three is the goal. Ty❤️
