While today is gloomy, rainy, and gray (which seems fitting) I captured these lovely photos of a familiar pink sunset at Ruff Dog this week.

Over the years I worked hard to create a special place for special pups.

I am forever grateful to Jenna () for the guidance she provided me beginning the day she hired me in december 2016 that led me to the abundant tears i’ve shed this week and especially today. I started as a playgroup leader and I ended as an owner and I have you all to thank for your trust over the years.

I knew Ruff Dog was special, but I was naive to the fact that it was special to everyone else. Thank you so much to everyone for all of the kind words, love, support and gratitude you all have shown this week. It is not the location that made Ruff Dog what it was, it was you and your wonderful pups.

Please forgive me this evening, I am already a mess and having to say goodbye to you all for one last time in this place - will surely be painful.

I love you. We love you. See you again soon ♥️

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce Ruff Dog’s permanent closing in five days.

Due to failed lease negotiations aligning with additional circumstances, all boarding and daycare services will be cancelled moving forward.

Please practice kindness and patience this week as this is a devastating and extremely difficult situation for the entire Ruff staff.

Clients will be contacted regarding current reservation cancellations, as well as package and credit refunds.

We hope to see every single one of you for ONE LAST TIME this week, as we will have no limit on daycare attendance.

Text 615-928-8866 with specific questions regarding your account, otherwise drop off between 6:30am-10am for daycare this week - until we say goodbye on February 9th.

On a more personal note, y’all, this has been the best job I have ever had and you have been the best clients with the best dogs. So many tears are being shed at the end of this chapter and know that I will be a MESS this week. I love you all and will miss you so much!! ~ jen
