We want to clarify that Maple will NOT be going to a shelter. She is in a great boarding facility where she's getting lots of one on one attention. However, nothing is as good as a home and she is still looking for a foster or adopter!

We appreciate the love and support from everyone on our post for Maple❤️ Let's find this girl a foster or, better yet, a forever home.

Rescue work is hard.

The work done in rescue can at times not be pretty, and can be tireless. However, we persist for the dogs.

Maple has been such a special dog for us at Agape for a variety of reasons. She has been loved by an amazing foster for Agape. The fact is Maple’s story isn’t all too uncommon for a lot of rescue dogs you have seen online, unfortunately.

In a perfect world, Maple would’ve found her perfect home by now. We all know though, that we don’t live in a perfect world. We have exhausted our local resources, asking daily if there is a rescue, foster, or forever home in mind for this special girl.

All of those efforts have been met with love, care, and compassion. Unfortunately though, they have led us to having to likely put this sweet girl into a boarding situation.

The work that these locations do is invaluable, however, we know this isn’t the place Maple will thrive. It puts us in a very dire and tricky situation. We want the best possible home and outcome for Maple, and have brainstormed for days on how to ensure that’s the case.

We are asking the public for help in spreading the word about this girl. Your help hasn’t fallen on deaf ears, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out to Agape.

Maple has been with Agape for ten months now, and we would love to ensure she sees her 11th month in the forever home she deserves.
