Kunkel Farms is pleased to announce that Bieber Maximus E294 has found a home with us. One of the most gentle bulls we have ever seen, much less have the pleasure to own. We recently had him collected for our own use at Show-Me Genetics. He will be going in with our fall registered cows around December 1st.

Happy honored and blessed was I to spend this opening morning of rifle season with Dr. Tim Salar, one of our associate dentists at Four States Dental Care. We saw 12 or 13 deer. Only one buck this morning. Dr. Salar harvested 2 nice does.

Little Shiner Cat AQHA #6015286. We took her to Dr. Will Gentry at Animal Clinic of Diamond today for ultrasound following AI 2 weeks ago to Playin With Metal (AKA Rip)via frozen semen. She ultrasounded bred to that service. Many thanks to the family of people who helped make this happen. Sammie Meeks... Tate Pieper...Austin Speak...Rusty Harris...Jacob Dunn..Dr. Will and his crew. Many others. It takes a village. That makes us 2 for 2 so far this year for AI produced pregnancies. 3 more mares get preg checked at Diamond next Monday. 2 via AI service and 1 via live cover by Austin's stud on foal heat. We'll keep you posted.

Second set of Shiner Smart Cat (AKA Shine) semen straws went into her last night at about 8pm. Hope she catches/settles to that. This mare is not expecting a foal this year, so we could start early with her breeding. First foal expected here on March 23. It will be a Playin With Metal (Rip)×Shine x Playgun's Little Lena. Many thanks to Dr. Will Gentry of Animal Clinic of Diamond and Sammy Meeks and the whole crew up at Pieper Red Angus.
