Tom cooling down with the fan after his massage! Some of you may have saw him at the Spurred to Victory event in Rimersburg last Saturday. Tom ponied an unbroke horse and was pushed and pulled on quite a bit. So I was asked to massage him to relieve the soreness from Saturday so that Tom is ready to go for the event on Sunday at Crooked Creek Horse Park.

We are ready to go to the Bob Buchleitner Memorial Show this Saturday! We are there for one day only so make sure you get your horse in! Equine Sports Massage is very beneficial for barrel athletes, it is an hour long massage that focuses on all of the major muscles and pressure points. Equine massage can get your horse feeling and performing at its best! Please message us if you would like to get your horse done at a specific time on Saturday!

The benefits of equine massage are many such as enhancement of muscle tone and range of motion, relaxation/stress reduction, releasing of endorphins which are the bodies natural pain killers, loosening and softening of scar tissue, advancement of healing due to increased flow of nutrients to injured muscles, as well as prevention of future injuries, etc. Do your horse a favor and book them a massage! I am available most evenings and on Saturday’s as well and am willing to travel. Message us to get scheduled!

This is Sunny! He has been in training here for a couple of weeks. He has had some anxiety since being in training so I was asked to massage him to help relax him and ease muscle soreness from training. Throughout the massage Sunny seemed to relax and enjoy his time. Thank you Falan Cicciarelli for choosing me to massage Sunny.

Training Horse Spotlight!

Meet Sven!

Sven is a barrel pony! He competes with his rider Hannah. Sven is here for an attitude adjustment. He has been taking matters into his own hands with his rider, which has not had the best affect on their barrel pattern. Sven is coming along very well and has started to learn how to soften his body. Sven and Hannah will be on the right track very soon!

Sunny is a 9 year old gated horse. Sunny is here for a tune up. Due to his owners having a growing family he has not been ridden in a few years. So he is here to get back into the swing of things. Over the next couple of weeks Sunny will be ridden and trail rode to hopefully make him into the perfect trail horse again!

Meet Lakota!

Lakota is a 3 year old Quarter Horse. She came to us for an attitude adjustment. She is riding but she as been giving her two cents when asked to do certain things. Over the next couple weeks we will start working her to soften her body so that she will be more willing to do the things she’s asked.

Hey everyone, Jeremy here! A lot of you may know me but I’m also sure a lot of you may not so I wanted to give a brief background on myself. I am Bailey’s husband. I graduated from Penn State in 2020 with a degree as a physical therapist assistant and I have been practicing as a PTA since where I have had the pleasure of treating patients to help them regain their maximum level of function to overall improve their quality of life utilizing treatment consisting of exercises, modalities and a number of manual techniques including massage. In 2021 I began dating Bailey and later married her in 2022 where I naturally gained a love for horses. I began to gain the desire to be able to help horses and began to look into becoming an equine sports massage therapist. I enrolled in the Equissage equine sports massage program where I recently gained my certification as an ESMT. Utilizing many of the same techniques that I have been taught as a PTA and now using the extensive knowledge of equine anatomy and massage techniques, I want to be able to help horses in order to give them their best quality of life and perform at their best. Meet Gemma!
Gemma is a 4 year old Quarter Horse mare. Gemma was here two years ago to be broke and this time she is here for a tune up and to be started on barrels. Her future is to hopefully be a barrel horse. She has been here for about a week and half and she is coming along great. Gemma has a bright future!

This will be a series of clinics held this winter, here at Legacy Pines Equestrian Center The idea is to build on each clinic. Bailey will send us home with goals and exercises to practice for the next. The ultimate goal will be to have our horses off lead by the last clinic.
