Today, @shoppkippfarm and I learned how to make our own soap. 🧼 Though this task may seem daunting my some, it is a more simple process than I thought. Some reasons we were interested in learning to make soap are because we do not agree with the ingredients in store bought soap, we want to be able to make soap with our own products, and we want to share this with the rest of you! Store bought soap can dry out your skin, strip the skin of its natural oils, has so many ingredients that are toxic: •fragrances, 🤧 •parabens, 🦠 •sulfates, 🧪 •triclosan, 🔬 •abrasives. ⏳ With the simple ingredients we used, it is nourishing and gentle: •lard, 🐖 •lye, 🧂 •goat milk, 🐐🥛 •beeswax, 🐝 •honey. 🍯 Making your own soap from home is not as easy as it is to go buy it from the store, but the benefits of natural soap outweighs everything else.

Red Boy is still available! He is best buds with light blue boy. He likes playing with sticks and chewing whatever he can find (don’t worry I took away what he was chewing on here). He will make a great family dog, he has always followed me around.

Yesterday, we spent some time outside with the puppies. ☀️They are at such a fun age where they play together and follow you around. 🤍#goldenretriever #goldenretrievers #goldenretrieverpuppy #goldenretrieverdog #ohiogoldenretrievers #ohiodogs #ohiopuppies #ohiopuppiesforsale #ohiofarm #ohiofarmer #puppy #dog
- Morning chores 🐶 - The puppies have outgrown the nesting box and have moved into their kennel in our summer kitchen. We are working on litter training but until then, it’s a little messier than usual 😳#goldenretriever #goldenretrieverpuppies #ohiopuppies #morningroutine #puppyroutine #akcgoldenretriever #ohiodogbreeder #ohiofarmer

How to beat the heat 🥵 with your horses 🐴
During this past few weeks, it has been important on keeping your horse cool and hydrated 💦.
Remember to give your horses plenty of water 💧 multiple times a day and keep them in the shade if possible 🌳.
If you are out and riding 🏇, offer your horse something to drink 🥤 often and cool them properly when finished. And if you get the chance, try to rinse 🚿 them off if you have brought them up to a nice sweat 😅.
I am so thankful to teach something I have been so passionate about since before I can remember: horses. This gray speckled pony does it all. 🤍
💪🏼Benefits of A Regular Farrier Schedule:
• Horses hooves grow just like our fingernails 🤚🏼 and they need maintained or the horse will go lame.
• An average horse will get their hooves trimmed and shaped (and sometimes shod) every 4-6 weeks.
• This process does not hurt the horse but actually adds comfort to the horse as the horse gains balance and reduces stress from the hoof wall and tendons.
• Izzy and Polly get regular trims about every 8 weeks due to slow growth and thick hoof walls. When I showed more regularly, they got trimmed every 6 weeks and Izzy wore horseshoes to have more grip will running barrels. Since my time of showing has slowed down, Izzy and Polly will remain barefoot 🦶🏼for the time being.
• We work hard to keep our horses happy and healthy. 🤠🐎
