Mia,

GCHB Phantom’s I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing BCAT SCN SIN CGCA CHCU TKN, was born March 23, 2013, and passed away in her home surrounded by her family on November 19, 2024. She was small but mighty and was unlike any other. She was my soul mate.

When I bred her mom, Angel, I swore I wasn’t going to keep a puppy from that litter. Mia and her 4 siblings were born and she stole my heart with her ability to shoot me dirty looks. She had so much personality and that was apparent from the very beginning.

When Mia started her show career there were many that said she was “too small” and that she would never finish her title. We proved them all wrong. Mia went on to get her Bronze Level Grand Champion title amongst many other titles. She was also the first purebred bichon in the United States to earn a Coursing Ability Title.

Mia loved having her photo taken. If she saw a camera she instantly started to pose, expecting you to take her picture.

Emmy was an African Pygymy Hedgehog with a light colored face and very uniform Quill markings of White and Brown. Her under side was all white and very soft. She was pretty small for a Hedgy and I called her my Lil Dragon because she huffed and puffed quite a bit. She was very independent, didn't like being held, but was very fast on her wheel. She also liked to do a sliding maneuver on her bedding. She must have injured her eye doing this, which caused it to turn very red and bulge. My Vet got it back into the correct position and had a couple small stitches put on for healing. She scratched those out and a week or so later it got red and bulged again. My Vet added a couple stints to help keep it in place, but she must not have liked those either and scratched them off. I decided to have her eye removed, which healed nicely. She took some time getting used to that of course.

Then I noticed when she tried to eat, she made these mouth and tongue movements that didn't look good.

Zoey Demorlis Obituary : May 5, 2007 to November 18, 2024
Our Zoey was the runt of her litter. We had to work with the Vet to get her to eat. When she finally started eating, she grew to a healthy 9 #. She was such a loving, frisky dog who gave us many years of love & happiness.
We discovered that she had a heart murmur at the age of 13. Medication kept her alive until she passed at the age of 17.5 years old. We miss her so much (including our cat)! I still feel her presence in the house. My daughter and family gave me this special pillow in remembrance of her. Rest in peace my dear friend!!

Oshie Eisentrager (November 7, 2010 to November 5, 2024)
Oshie went to rest at the age of 14 (almost, she missed her 14th birthday by 2 days!) She joined our family in January of 2011. She was the perfect combination of a family dog and a hunting dog. She helped raise our two sons from elementary school to adulthood and was with them every step of the way. When our youngest son went off to college this fall Oshie really started to "grow old". It was like she knew she had done her job and that she could finally rest.
Oshie will never be forgotten! She was the perfect first dog for our young family. We love you and miss you! Rest easy, Oshie!

Miley Hinschberger

June 24, 2016 – September 30, 2024

Miley Hinschberger passed away unexpectedly of acute kidney failure on September 30. She joined our family as a rescue from Second Chance Animal Rescue. She was a beautiful soul, her mom’s Velcro dog, who was always at the top of the stairs to greet mom and dad when they came in the door.

She had two nicknames: Thumper, because her tail was always wagging, and Ninja Shadow, because you couldn’t see her in the backyard at night.

Kyle has been the best dog and has brought us more joy than we could have ever imagined! Kyle had a rough start in life. He was a puppy mill dog for 5 years and was then rescued by a local organization. The first family to adopt him didn't end up working out and he was brought back to the rescue. We like to believe it's because he was meant to be part of our family!

He had a rough start with us as well. He didn't trust men and he had a lot of separation anxiety.

Ryder “Fly Guy” Wakan was born on October 7th, 2018. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge on September 3rd, 2024 in Russ’s arms, up at Kab. Fly guy was an independent bundle of joy. He embodied beauty & radiated happiness! Ry-Ry was very gentle & caring, yet a mighty tooth hugger. Far from a snuggler- reserved kisses mostly for his Grandmother. Ryder enjoyed fishing with his Grandpa Gary and his Uncle, Barry Dusty Ladd.

November 12, 2008 - September 8, 2024

Chili came into my life at 8 weeks old and has been the one constant in my life ever since. She’s been by my side through it all, many good times and bad times, through other pet siblings in and out of our lives, and the different homes we’ve lived in. Chili was such a sweet and sometimes sassy little girl. She loved to be the boss of the house, even with the bigger dogs.

Dovah was a beloved bearded dragon who brought immeasurable joy to his owner, Austin and touched the hearts of all who knew him dearly. Despite his short three years with us, Dovah's impact was profound. His gentle demeanor, unwavering companionship, and boundless affection brought warmth and comfort to Austin's life every single day.

Our little Coco came to us on New Years Day 2007, one of the coldest days that year. We adopted her from Homeward Bound Dog Rescue. She left us on a beautiful late summer day, August 31, 2024. She was 16-1/2 years old.

For such a tiny creature (3-5 pounds throughout her life) she had such a huge presence. She filled our house and our lives with love and joy. We miss her so much.

She was bonded with her dog family, Simon and Tinka who predeceased her and is survived and missed by Ginger.

Tobie. Tobes. Toblerone. Tober Bear. Mama’s Baby. 23 years with you was not enough. You came into my life so unexpectedly. I went with my sis to pick up her kitty, but as we were leaving, I decided I just couldn’t leave you behind. You were the last one, the littlest, and you looked so small in that basket all alone.

We got Charlie when he was 3 months old and it was love at first sight.

He was our families first dog and he was such a good boy and so patient with us being first time pet owners. What joy he brought to our home. You received the best welcome from Charlie. He would wiggle every part of his body when he saw you.

There are no words in any language to describe how a devoted dog, like Rubi, enriched our soul. She was there through happiness, sadness, and every emotion in between. Rubi’s sweet, happy spirit will sustain me until the fond memories of our time together outweigh this bottomless sorrow I’m feeling right now.

I remember it like yesterday getting you, Diesel, out in the country by Grantsburg, WI. You were so small and the only one with white on your fur. I named you Diesel, since that’s what I picked you up in, a diesel truck.

You were so scared and shy as a puppy. It took years before you would go up and down stairs. You loved going for car rides and cuddling.

Leo was the goodest good boy.

“I’m ready!” —Leo

It didn’t matter what we were doing, who was around, or where we were going, Leo was ready. For a walk, a car ride, or a lap around the back yard. As long as he was included, he was happy.

Leo was six weeks old when we brought him home. He immediately took over our lives. And in no time at all he developed his sweet yet stubborn personality.

Louie…Best boy, Good boy, Mama’s boy

Many years ago we brought Louie home from a rescue group to foster him and we knew right from the start that he would become a member of our family. It truly was love at first sight!

Before arriving in his forever home, Louie faced a tough five years of life as a stray at a reservation in the Dakotas.
