Holy smokes, we can’t believe next Thursday is Independence Day! 🇺🇸🎆🎇

Our clinic will be closed in observance of the holiday, 7/4/24, and will reopen Friday, 7/5/24, for normal business hours!

Some good ideas to keep in mind this Independence Day:

1) Keep pets safe and indoors during the fireworks. Make sure all windows and doors are securely shut so they are unable to get out and run if scared.
2) If your pet is microchipped, make sure the microchip info is up to date, in case they were to get away. If not microchipped, make sure they have a collar with name tag and contact info on!
3) Make sure your pets are cool and don’t get overheated.
4) Make sure to only feed your pets safe table food and tell all family members/friends as well.
5) Make sure corncobs are properly disposed of, they can cause a blockage in dogs and require emergecy surgery if ingested!
6) If your pet is in immediate need of medical care during the holiday, we have a list of referral partners on our website countryacrevets.com under the referrals tab!

The job includes answering phones, scheduling, assisting clients, refilling medications and more. Experience preferred but not required. Hours may vary and will be decided upon before hire. If you’ve ever wondered about the power and importance of a microchip, we have a story for you!

This kitty was found as a stray in New Castle recently and thankfully a wonderful client took her in! She’s in rough shape so the client brought her in to have her examined and treated. Along with her exam, we scanned her for a microchip, and to our surprise, SHE HAD A CHIP FROM 2011!!! By having her microchipped, the client was able to call the chip company to try and locate the owner. We were able to find out she came all the way from Washington State, her age and name! We’re not sure how she ended up all the way in Indiana and lost but we are hopeful she will be reunited with her owner! If not, she’s in good hands and will be very well taken care of! Even if it is 12 years later after her chip was implanted, it still gives the chance of this old girl being reunited with her people! Microchips can help tremendously with lost pets and we HIGHLY recommend them!

EXCITING NEWS!
CAAC is under construction! If you’ve been in our building this week, you’ve noticed some major changes! We are updating several parts of our building to make it better for clients, patients and staff. We will be under construction for several months but will still operate normally. We are so excited to see the finished product and for our clients to see it, too!
