The MDH line has ended. To protect her health we have spayed our beautiful Izzy Grace. She has created some of the most beautiful puppies. We do not have the time to dedicate to puppies this year and we do not want to keep Izzy having heat cycles with no babies (risk of pyrometra). Prayers as she recovers.

Our last litter will be available fall of 2022. We have made the decision to spay Izzy Grace after this last litter as we understand the risks that come with each pregnancy and each heat cycle Our Russell terriers are not just for breeding, they are our family and we want our babies to be around as long as possible.

We also made a difficult decision to spay her daughter, Scarlet Marie due to undesirable behaviors. Breeding quality dogs includes not only health genetics but behavioral genetics. This was a very difficult decision as she would’ve helped us continue our line. We have not yet made a decision on if we will neuter Sterling following the last litter or not.

With all of that being said if you are interested in having one of the last puppies from this line please send us a message immediately so that we may write your name down in the orders they were received. There are no deposits or anything required right now but it will be first come first serve for our puppies, of course based on applications as well. If anyone is interested in using Sterling as a stud please reach out to us as well and we would be more than happy to discuss expanding our line.

Ember isn’t quite sure why no body is interested in her yet.

We have little “Ember”, MDH’s Sitting by the Fire, from our first litter, available for adoption now!! She was returned due to severe submissive urination and here are some updates and blurbs about her before you make any decisions!

-she had a severe UTI which has been treated and resolved her extreme urination
-she is not a dominate dog
-we did additional home training to help with her confidence
-she does submissive ti**le (few drops, nothing like before her medications!) with women and if she thinks she’s in trouble
-she’s very playful and is still learning to not be mouthy but has been great with my three young children!
-being older she may be better without cats, she’s not mean but a bit overly interested
-she learned some basics of barn hunting and is a great ratter!
-great with other dogs
-crate trained
-housebroken
-leash trained
-9 months old, UTD on shots
-not yet spayed. Will discuss with new owner based on future plans for ember
-used to regularly grooming (she needs hand stripped, we can talk about this)
-knows all basic commands and is eager to learn and please

Tonight may be the night. All the signs have slowly started since this AM. Prayers for a natural birth of these 2 big babies!

After having our x-rays done it seems that sweet Izzy is only having two puppies. However these puppies are looking big and there is a possibility that Izzy will need a C-section which therefore will end her career of babies. If she does well and doesn’t need a c section we will be waiting at least a year

Because we only have two puppies available the very first person on our waiting list had already requested two puppies. Unfortunately there are no puppies available in this current litter unless there were A few hiding that we could not see, but it didn’t look that way.

Izzys daughter will have her first litter in about a year. Because this is a hobby and our pups are family and their health is our first concern we do not have puppies rolling out on a regular basis like some people. While this is frustrating to those who wanted one sooner rather than later, please understand the health of our mama comes first.

We have had a couple of people ask and our male is available as a stud dog for those who may have their own females.

We hope everyone understands the situation.

-age appropriate vaccines, by a vet (anything before 6 weeks doesn’t count! Bad breeders do these vaccines earlier)
-microchipped with lifetime registration
-socialized with dogs, kids, cats
-won’t know coat type until 4-6 weeks
-price starts at $1800 (quality)
-show quality AKC pups and parents
-complete puppy kit and info for you!
