Just a quick update: I’ll be away and unavailable for boarding from April 1–8–boarding resumes April 9th.

Additionally, I will be away May 1-5, & May 16-18. I encourage my clients with trips leading up to or following these dates to reach out ASAP & schedule/reserve your dog’s kennel. May fills quickly*

Now is also a great time to book your dogs Paws on the Trail Adventure Hike or Confidence Camp which are both available in day sessions, or as an add on while your dog is boarding.

Some dogs work for food, but mine? He works for toys. His toy drive is so strong that it became the foundation of our entire training journey.

•Drive is the natural instinct that motivates a dog to act. Toy drive, like food drive, can be a powerful tool in training.

•Find what truly motivates your dog—whether it’s food, toys, or praise—and use it to reinforce behaviors.

•A high-drive dog isn’t “too much”—they just need the right outlet! Channeling their drive correctly builds engagement, focus, and a reliable working relationship.

•Play isn’t just fun; it’s communication, structure, and reward all in one. This is how I built strong relationships with all of your dogs, gaining their trust through play and clear communication.

•If your dog isn’t food-motivated, don’t stress—find what lights them up and use that to create a training experience they love!

•Thank you for making my first year in business (and my first year owning a business) the best year I could have asked for.

•Theres a joke amongst most people who work with dogs that there’s a reason we work with dogs and not humans, because humans are….well.. not always the best to deal with 😅—but I think I’ve been blessed because my human clients have been nothing short of incredible.

Cam loved nothing more than being outside, exploring new places, and soaking in every moment. Her adventurous spirit is what inspired me to create this—to make sure other dogs get the chance to experience as much of the world as possible in the short but beautiful time we have with them

•Does your dog struggle with fear or anxiety at the groomer? The Calm & Confident Groom Package is designed to help dogs feel comfortable & confident with every step of the grooming process.

•Using balanced reinforcement techniques, we’ll create a positive association with grooming tools, environments, and handling. We’ll make grooming a manageable and even maybe an enjoyable experience for your dog!

-Gradual exposure to grooming tools
(nail clippers, brushes, blow dryers, etc.)

-Practice on an elevated grooming table

-Sound and vibration desensitization

-Stress-free nail trimming and handling

-Ear cleaning desensitization

-Confidence-building exercises tailored to your dog

••In severe cases••

•I can accompany your dog to the groomer (with groomer approval) to assist in real-time training and shaping new behaviors. I’ll also help the groomer understand the progress we’ve made so they can continue to build on it!

Jack is still searching for his forever home! 🤍

• Jack is fully deaf but is e-collar and hand-sign trained, making him a wonderfully attentive companion.

• While Jack is friendly with other dogs, he would thrive best as the only pet in a home, ideally with a single owner who can give him all the love and attention he deserves.
