In 2006 I attended a grooming Academy out of state and then returned to my Lafayette location where I continued to learn from my co-workers for another two years. Before leaving, I assumed the managers position where I trained all new bathers and our academy students came back to work under my guidance and supervision. Since 2008 I’ve groomed at a local Vet clinic and have gained plenty experience
with all breeds/mixed breed dogs. I take the safety of your pet very seriously and for this reason I have a few rules that I follow. Humanity over Vanity
I will never put your pet through pain and suffering from dematting a coat that needs to be shaved. I will never require your pet to get in a specific position that may cause pain by stretching or holding themselves up for long periods of time. Sometimes pets require a “comfort groom” to keep them healthy and clean.
“Comfort grooms” are designed to take care of your pets grooming “needs” they are not for looks. Quality over Quantity
I do my absolute best on every dog I groom. I will never reduce the quality of your pets groom for my financial benefit. I do not groom pregnant or nursing dogs. I will offer a sanitary shave of the belly and potty areas as you wait for your pet. Owners are NOT allowed to wait for their pet unless it is an “in and out” service. Pets get excited when they see their owners and begin to misbehave. For this reason owners are NOT allowed to walk in and check on their pets. All owners will be called/texted when their pet is ready. Expect your pet to spend the day with me for their haircut. All dogs are dropped off in the morning and ready between the hours of 11-4. Evening pick up times are flexible depending on my family’s schedule. If you don’t want your dog to spend the day please schedule an express service. My working hours will vary around my family’s schedule and the school year. Every service must have a scheduled appointment. No one will be allowed in the salon without a prior arrangement. Services provided can be found in my uploads under “salon info”. The best way to schedule an appointment is by TEXT. I am unable to groom and take phone calls during the day. If you need to have a phone conversation please send a text with a little info and request a call back. I will return your call at the end of my day. The best way to guarantee an appointment is to keep your pet on a regular grooming schedule by booking in advance. Most pets require grooming every 4 weeks with upkeep at home as well. If you need assistance on how to keep your pets coat up at home please ask and I will be happy to help. All clients should read my “Pet Release” carefully. It has important information about policies and procedures which include auto add fees. You can find a copy uploaded in my photos here under “salon info”. This will be signed at every appointment and reading in advance can help with a speedy drop off. I have created a list of the most popular dog breeds and mixes and given the best estimate for price. You can find that in my uploads here under “salon info” as well. If you have a mixed breed, your best estimate is going to be the breed that the dog most resembles in coat condition/size. All prices are based on breed standard. Pricing may vary due to size, weight, length of coat, and condition of coat. Dematt/scissor fees and auto add fees (flea bath, medicated bath, and healthy ear) are NOT included in these prices. The most accurate quote will be given once your dogs coat is accessed and haircut is discussed. Final price is NEVER decided until the groom is finished. If you have any concerns over your pets price please ask for a maximum so you can be prepared for additional fees. Full groom prices are a BASE PRICE for #5 length and shorter. 4,3,2,1,0,A,C,&E are all hand scissor lengths. Expect add on fees for these starting at $5 and ranging up based on the size and difficulty of your dog. On average for a small/med dog 4,3,2 are $5. 1 & 0 are $8, A,C,E are $10. On large dogs 4,3,2 are $10, 1,0 are $15 and A,C,E are $20
Poodle prices include a clean “poodle face” but not clean “poodle feet”. Clean feet are an extra fee. $5 for small dog $10 for large dog
***Please remember my pricing reflects the quality of work that I offer along with being Licensed and Insured.***
This salon cannot accommodate dogs that are excessive kennel barkers since we are all together in one area. Any dog with kennel issues will need to be groomed as an express service at a special appointment time or they will be turned away. This salon is BREED SPECIFIC for safety and insurance purposes. Please ask if you think you may have a breed that I do not offer services for. Some of which include, huskies, malamutes, German Shepherds, wolf hybrids, Staffordshire terriers, chows, Dobermans, and Rottweilers. Any excessively large breed that will not cooperate for me or is too much for me to handle will also have to be turned away. It is very important for dogs to be socialized, properly trained, and friendly towards other dogs to be in this setting. If your dog has any behavioral issues they are better suited for being groomed at a Vet clinic. Thank you for your understanding!
